Spirit of Thursday folks...

The Liberator Double Port Finish

This Irish whiskey combines a blend of malt whiskey (42%) matured in tawny Port casks and grain whiskey (58%) matured in ruby Port casks. Only the freshest casks are used, and they're filled with whisky within three weeks of the Port being emptied for an intense profile, packed with vinous fruit character. The whisky is brought down to an ABV of 46% over a slow period of six weeks, giving plenty of time for it to integrate and ensuring an elegant, soft texture. Bottled without added colour or chill filtration.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hedgerow fruits and woody spices combine, with sweet layers of honeyed flapjack, drizzled with milk chocolate.

Palate
Layers of apples and pears, tangy citrus peels, and runny toffee, with notes of vanilla and creamy grain, followed by hints of warming clove.

Finish
Chocolate Brazil nuts balance a touch of pepper, with caramel and lingering oaken spice.

3.80 a shot to warm yer cockles 😎🥃

'Spirit of Thursday'
The Double Peat
a sublime smoky blended malt made with peaty whisky from Islay as well as peated whisky from Speyside, hence the name. Islay is well-known for its peaty treats, while Speyside is traditionally more recognised for honeyed drams, so it's rather intriguing that the producers of this expression managed to get their hands on a smoky Speysider.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Coastal air with a hint of heather honey and roast chestnuts.

Palate
Smoky salinity sits at the core, paired with hints of meaty malt and caramel.

Finish
Caraway, ash, and spicy peppercorns.

Lush.. and just 3.90 a pop 😎🥃
