Apologies for the late update, JS Chippy has been closed due to range issues and may remain closed until further notice.
We're not very active on Facebook, however our website and Just Eat do state that we are closed. We initially expected the issue to be resolved quickly, which is why there wasn't an immediate post here.

Hello everyone,

A customer has lost their phone at J's Chippy around 7:40 PM and returned around 8:00 PM to look for it. During that time, we had 4 to 5 customers come in.

If anyone saw the phone or picked it up by mistake, please let us know. If you’d prefer, you can also drop it off anonymously around the back of the shop.

We’d really appreciate any help.

We just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for the support you’ve shown after our recent post. The kindness, encouragement, and understanding you’ve shared have truly meant a lot to us. A special thanks to those of you who came in to show your support in person, and a heartfelt thank you to the customer who brought us flowers — can’t wait for all of them to bloom!

Your support keeps us motivated to serve the best we can. We’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful community !

Hello dear customers,

Firstly, we want to sincerely apologize to all of our customers who experienced delays in receiving their food, or had their orders cancelled. We understand how frustrating this must have been, and we take full responsibility. To make it right, we will be offering a 50% discount to all affected customers. We have your names and addresses on file, so please mention this when you call us and we will happily apply the discount to your next order.

To the customers claiming we didn’t answer the calls, we would also like to apologize, and address that there was a system malfunction due to the excessive amount of orders and calls we were receiving

Secondly, we need to address a serious incident that took place in our takeaway. One of our employees, who is a minor, was subjected to racist, sexist, and Islamophobic harassment while doing her job. Comments made included, “it’s because you’re a girl, you can’t do the job right,” “you brown immigrants,” and “Allah, Allah, is not going to save you.” Including comment harassing the employees dad who was present. These words were deeply hurtful to our employee.

To the individual responsible for this behaviour we expect an apology in person. If we do not receive this apology, we will have no choice but to contact the police and file a formal report. We have your information, including your address, and customers who were seated inside are willing to come forward as witnesses.

Lastly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing customers who have shown us patience and understanding during this time. We especially want to thank those who took the time to call and encourage us to keep going. Your support means the world to us.

We normally do not respond to negative comments however we felt the need to address this incident, we would like to apologize for our employees rudeness however we would also like to address that she was shaken due to the harassment she had faced.

We apologize again and thank you for understanding us, and we look forward to serving you all better in the future.
