The time has come to announce the award winning pubbies for our Top Dog at the Tap competition🐶🏆

Drum roll please….🥁🥁🥁

1st place 🥇 - Beigli, the 6 year old romanian sheep dog!!!…well deserved for our 1st place winner, and lots of beef hula hoops incoming🦴

2nd place 🥈- Morris, the 5 year old clumber spaniel!!! Well done Morris, lots of treats for your hard work 🐶

3rd place 🥉- Teddy, the 3 year old cavapoo!!! Well done Teddy, your pawrents will be sure to give you lots of sticks❤️

EY UP! Tomorrow is Yorkshire Day, and we’ve got a reyt load of fun in store for our Tappers😝

CASK ALES - we have some amazing cask options specially selected from our favourite Yorkshire breweries, and in perfect condition to drink tomorrow…including: Timothy Taylor’s Golden Best, Timothy Taylor’s Blonde, Rudgate Jorvik Blonde, and Rudgate Ruby Mild🍺
- all Taylor’s pints come with a free magnet, bottle opener or pen

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy we have our usual draught selection, wines, gins and soft drinks 🍷

TEA BAG THROWING COMPETITION - How many Yorkshire tea-bags can you pot into a mug? 🫖

Our last day of competition for Top Dog at The Tap!

Today we have another 3-pic-post❤️

Pic 1 - Starting off with Darcy - a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel🐶
Darcy LOVES eating cheese and chasing birds 🪶she has so much energy her pawrents have to keep up with her! so much so that she literally jumps into her mums arms! what a pup!

Pic 2 - Next we have Archie - a 9 year old Boarder Collie🐾
Archie loves challenging his pawrents by jumping up to greet passerbys at his fence (hence why he has a scratch on his nose…from getting too excited!!!) Archie and his fellow pal are well known , especially more into Langthorpe for being very friendly…and always after treats!

Pic 3 - Finally, there’s Gentleman Jack🦴 - a 13 year old Boarded Collie, and Archie’s older brother!
Jack is notoriously known by his pawrents for not only being a gentleman…but also eating stones (oops) 🪨
Between his brother and himself, the Postman calls them the “bouncy dogs”⚡️

Well folks, this bunch are the last lot to make it into our Top Dog competition - and thanks to all our Pubbies for coming down to get your picture taken!

Top dog at the tap 3 contenders in this post!

Pic 1 - Lyla at only 11 weeks old she is already becoming a part of the Tap family.
She’s a blue & tan dachshund
She loves her fav teddies shoes and even more so love coming to the tap for all the attention!

Pic 2- Dexter 11 years young Pointerdor, he loves coming to visit Boroughbridge with is Pawrents almost every weekend because he loves the rivers and the pubs.
He also loves tennis balls! 🎾

Pic 3 - Benji - who doesn’t love a Pug? At 10 years old he’s lost most of his teeth but he will still managed lots of treats followed by cuddles and snuggles.

But also loves cuddles and is very very friendly.

Pic 2 - Bella! With her punk hair style, she’s a miniature wire hair dachshund, offer her a treat and she will do tricks!
Her favourite trick is to roll on her belly! And when she’s not doing tricks she loves to sleep!!
