Did you know we have our own wood-fired pizza trailer?

Meet Pizza Paddock . Once a horse trailer, it has been completely refurbished and fitted with two wood-fired ovens for making fresh artisan pizzas.

This Friday, 25 September, and again on Friday 2 October, we’ll be bringing Pizza Paddock to The Steading, Rosewell from 12 noon–5pm.

We’ll reveal this week’s menu soon. For now, who’s already planning pizza for Friday lunch or tea?

A little appreciation post for our neighbours at Ballantyne Nurseries in Gorebridge.

These beautiful planters came from Ballantyne Nursery earlier in the season, and they’ve brought so much colour to The Steading and The Village Cafe over the summer.

We wanted to give them a proper thank you for such a lovely display. They’ve looked fantastic around the building.

And we’ll be working with Ballantyne Nursery again very soon for our winter arrangements, so keep an eye out for a seasonal change coming soon.

From roasted carrots to chocolate brownies, this little bottle can do far more than dress a salad.

Try Supernature Orange Infused Oil in carrot cake, add it to chocolate baking for an orange twist, drizzle it over roasted vegetables or use it to finish a fish dish.

Saturday: 9am–3.30pm
Sunday: 9am–2.30pm

Please note that last orders for hot food are 30 minutes before closing.
