And what lovely summery weather we have for it. So lovely and summery in fact, we've put the roof over to keep you all dry ☀️☀️☀️

We've an amazing line up of bands for you today covering many genres featuring:

10.00 - Finish - The Zipheads - Rockabilly/Psychobilly heavyweights - who encompass punk, surf, swing, soul, country, folk, Ska, reggae in to their sound - making a long awaiting return to the Alma to headline this year's Drunkfest!

9.00 - 9.40 - Rupcha Farms - Grime Nu-metal, Rave-Punk Rebels. Combining potent rap Vocals, high octane metal riffs and punchy electronica

8.10 - 8.40 - Anchorsmashed - True Scottish Pirate Metal all the way from sunny Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

7.20 - 7.50 - Pulverise - Riffs, Raps & Rhythms. Rap metal grooves and hardcore beatdowns. If Missy Elliot fronted Skindred!

6.30 - 7.00 - Bad Smell - From playing their debut gig at the Alma in '24 to playing Bloodstock inside their first year. No nonsense Motorhead-esque rock n roll

Given that the likes of hardcore legends Liberty X are on just around the corner at the food festival this weekend, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was mental to put a gig on in Bolton at the same time. But we've done it anyway and its almost time for our big genre mashing party of the year - Summer Drunkfest '26!!

Today we're having a big celebration for Keith's 60th Birthday Bash and everyone is invited!

We've got an amazing line up of live bands coming to play featuring:

One Eyed God , Sadaxe , Rusty Strings & Odious Rat

There will also be a full playlist of Rock/Punk/Metal/Psych/Rock N Roll/Ska and a bit of everything else playing all day covering his whole eclectic music taste.

Pasty and peas will be out from 3pm for everyone getting down early and live music will start at 5pm

And as you may have seen last week we've a few extra things to add to quiz night now to spice things up

First up, a lovely, juicy drinks offer. Every Thursday from 5pm Fosters, Magners & John Smiths will drop to just £2.50 a pint!

Next up, a new game - Phat Matts Consolotion Prize Play Your Cards Right....For Losers!

A £10 bar tab prize will now be available to one of the losing teams. Runners up get first go. If they dont win then 3rd place gets a go and so on. If no one wins, then you simply remain losers!

And lastly, this suspicious looking tub we found in Matts possessions has been re-purposed for another new game - Phat Matts Sweet Shop Favourites!
Every team that enters the quiz will get to pick one raffle ticket from Phat Matts box of goodies and if it matches the winning ticket, you get the jackpot!
It'll start at £10 tonight but this will be a rolling prize so every week no one wins we add another tenner!
