He started as a waiter, then his first business he opened was in Washington 'Raj Mukut' a indian takeaway. While he was running the business he took partnership in another takeaway in Boldon 'Dakha Tandoori'. He has also opened the 'Deedar Caterers & Co' in 1997 which is also in Blyth. I would like to say my father has the experience which is needed to be successful in this sort of trade. Now his
eldest son, Muhammad Mazharul Karim and my father have joint forces with 'Asmara Indian Cuisine' which opened on the 12th November 2008. Our intention is that we want to bring back the dining experience which I think is missing at a lot of other restaurants. At Asmara I want it to be slow paced as food takes a little bit longer as most of our dishes aren't pre made especially our signature dishes. We emphasize quality and not quantity and only using grade A ingredients, which I believe it does make a difference on taste and texture. We have quite an extensive menu, dishes that are only exclusive to Asmara and then the traditional dishes. We advise people to book in advance especially for Friday and Saturday nights to save from disappointment. We can't do delivery service yet, but customers receive 10% discount on collection. So please give us a try, children are welcome and we cater for large parties as the reataurant has 46 seats. And we all at Asmara look forward to see you soon.
:: Please note : Friday & Saturday evenings get very busy so please try to Book. ::
Thank You
