I suppose it’s time for another new shop update… and this one is a very exciting one! 🎉

As of this afternoon, we have officially been granted planning permission! 🙌

After months of waiting & plenty of frustration, we can finally get on with the work. It won’t be a quick transformation, and I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that we won’t be opening in time for summer trade. Today feels like a huge milestone. We’re finally moving in the right direction, and after everything I couldn’t be happier to have received that email.

We can’t wait to share the progress with you all as the new café starts to come to life. The real work starts now! ☕️

Look what’s back again this summer! 🍦☀️

Mr Whippy is back for its 4th summer in a row!

Nothing says summer quite like a classic Mr Whippy. Have it in a cone or a tub, but you just can’t forget the flake! 🍦✨

Pop in and treat yourself while the sunshine lasts! 😎☀️

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we’ve been nominated for the DT11 Business Awards! 🎉

As a small, independent, family-run café, this means so much to us. All those super early mornings, late nights, and hard work over the last 9 years feel worth it.

Thank you to every customer who has popped in for a coffee, brunch, or a tipple, and to everyone who has supported us along the way. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re forever grateful for the support we’ve received over the past 9 years and are incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many fantastic local businesses.

It’s about time we gave you all an update on the new shop… unfortunately there isn’t a huge amount to share right now 🥲

After everything was ripped out the weekend we got the keys, things have pretty much been at a standstill (thanks Dorset Council 🙃). It’s taken nearly 2 months for us to be told the application hadn’t even been registered yet, so there’s not much more we can do until planning is approved.

It’s such a shame and definitely not how we imagined things going, but sadly it’s now looking unlikely we’ll be in by summer.

We know so many of you are excited for the move — trust us, we are too. We’ll keep updating you all as soon as we have more progress to share. Hopefully things will finally start moving soon 🤞Lucy
