🤑Business Opportunity🤑
🩷 I'd love to give someone a bit of a start up business wise...
So basically I am just too busy with the shed and contracts to run the horsebox as well, I'd love to see it out full time instead of only using it at weddings etc.
I'm not, (I don't think), intending on employing anyone else this year as of right now, so I thought I could offer full use of the horsebox to someone who is qualified, motivated and ready to manage it themselves.
🩷 You would be in charge of absolutely everything to do with it, therefore managing that side of the business as a self employed contractor, and therefore keeping all of the earnings that you make, with myself taking a (very) teeny tiny small percentage as 'rent', for my own books and just to keep the umbrella that is Ice Cream & Cake Box, on the horsebox side, as 'active'. I'm talking like £10 a month teeny tiny.
🩷 Approx salary for this is between 25k - 40k plus per annum, depending on how often you wanted to work. Profit is around 75% - 85% after buying your stock and running costs.
Welcome to also use for events which can be upward of 1k for a few hours work, weddings, birthdays, festivals, highland games etc. Weddings alone are very lucrative as well as private party events.
You would be doing your own accounts for this and therefore as a sole trader, be responsible for doing your self assessment and tax return each year.
🩷 We have 2 designated council laybys already allocated to us, however the box is allowed to travel about as well. I can help guide on the technicalities of the council rules and what you are allowed to do.
🩷 You would be in charge of all aspects of running the horsebox such as:
The Menu
Ordering and Stock Taking
Serving
Cleaning
Accounts
Paperwork (HACCP)
Insurance
Food certs such as allergy and hygiene, food safety etc.
🩷 You would need a 4x4 for towing, know what you're doing in regards to actually towing, some knowledge on operating a generator, and of course cooking the food, and serving with a smile.
There is daily paperwork that needs to be done in regards to cleaning and simple things like temperature checks.
🩷 I can help with insurance, training and general paperwork of the business, advice in stocking, cash and carry, and the basic running of the business etc.
I would need to have a little say over the menu, and we do only serve the Mackies ice cream, however menu wise I'm meaning it's just not to be too fancy😆 we have loyal customers that just want decent, hot, traditional menu options at decent prices. Weddings are catered for individually as to the wants and needs of the client.
🩷 The horsebox is fully kitted out to serve take away hot meals such as Fish and Chips, Burgers, Toasties, Rolls, Hot Dogs, Stovies, Lasagne, Nachos, Bacon, Eggs, Full Breakfasts, etc, as well as Hot Drinks, Ice Creams, Cakes and Hot Desserts.
Brand new massive frier, grill and
heat plate just newly installed. Display ice cream freezer, and optional display cake fridge. We have recently taken this out to accommodate the new frier and have more space for a new keep warm hostess trolley.
Top spec til system and card machine plus cctv system.
Generator, portable tables and seating, parasols, signage etc.
Brand new water pump for on board hot water.
There is even a diesel heater for keeping you nice and toasty during the colder months, so much so it needs switched off as you get too hot.
There is also the option to change the colour of the horsebox too, we have recently sprayed another one to a lovely emerald green with cream top. So this is an option, and we also have a 3rd that is a blank canvas ready to convert.
🩷 This would suit someone who wants to work for themselves, choosing their own hours and basically run their own business, maybe a couple who would like to work together, or someone just thinking about going into this line of work but maybe don't have the means of getting started, maybe a stay at home mum or dad who would like some extra income.
Absolutely open to negotiate on things, talk things over, and go through the details.
I do have weddings and birthdays pre-booked, so I would need the box for these events, however your role would be absolutely welcomed to take on these bookings along with myself.
We've also been given the go ahead from the council of an opportunity to do some other work with the box so I may need it occasionally for this...

I just thought it might help someone else to have a helping hand in life.
🩷 It may be that I end up deciding to fully employ someone if the right person came along, but it would still be the case of a full managerial role, as I don't have the time to tow and help with set up and take down each day, same with stocking, prepping food etc.
This really needs to go to someone that is fully competent with this sort of business and know the work it takes to run it.
