Feedback and suggestions welcome on this post.

Now it's going into winter, the cake van won't be outside the Ganolfan every Thursday, but there may be some pop ups over the winter. I'm being kept pretty busy this week with a wedding cake and a dessert table for this weekend but after that I have some time to take the cake van out.

Now we aren't in Port every week, it would be nice to visit some other places with the cake van - especially places without cafes and bakeries. I'm looking at a monthly Thursday or Friday late afternoon/early evening visit, say 4:00 - 6:00p.m.

I already have a couple of villages in mind but it would be nice to know where you would like to see the van. Suggestions of where to park are also appreciated. Pop your ideas in the comments.

Would you like to see the cake van at an event near you this autumn? I have a few spaces left in my diary for Oct, Nov and Dec.

I am speechless. The cake van is sold out at 13:35. There maybe some cakes left for sale in the Gweithdy, Minffordd.

I prepared 150 extra pieces compared to last year's event. We don't usually sell out this early in the afternoon. I honestly thought 600 pieces was ambitious, never dreamed it wouldn't be enough.

I am completely amazed at how the weekend has gone. I can only say thank you to everyone for their support and purchases but also making a 'visit to the cake van' a railway gala tradition. Very much appreciated.

Big thank you to Clare for helping me with the preparation and for working an extra half day yesterday at the drop of a hat when I had to go home to prepare even more cake. Also, thanks to Ursula for working today so I could have half a day off.

After our most successful day ever today, we're back tomorrow with another full cake van for the final day of the Victorian Weekend at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.

Van will be there 10:00 - 3:30.

Clare is still manning the van, we haven't swapped as planned. I'm back in the kitchen to restock for Sunday because today has been the busiest ever day on record for the van. 185 cakes sold so far today and it's only mid afternoon.
