✨ WE’VE BEEN NOMINATED! ✨

Well… we definitely weren’t expecting this! 🥹🤎

Someone has very kindly nominated Fresco for the Fylde Coast Community Awards 2026 – Local New Business Award! 🏆

We’ve only been open 9 weeks… NINE!
And to think that someone has already taken the time to put our little business forward for an award honestly means more than we can say.

These last 9 weeks have been an absolute whirlwind. We’ve worked harder than we ever imagined, learnt SO much, made mistakes, had ridiculously busy days, met so many lovely people and somehow watched this little idea of ours become a real part of people’s routines. 🥹

We genuinely have no idea who nominated us, but thank you so, so much🤎

Whether anything comes from the nomination or not, just knowing that someone thought Fresco was worthy of being put forward after such a short amount of time feels like a little win in itself.

And as always, a massive thank you to every single person who has walked through our doors, recommended us, shared our posts, left us a lovely review or simply told somebody about Fresco.

You’re helping our little business grow more than you probably realise.

🍂 HELLO ‘BER’ MONTHS… 🍂

And just like that, summer is over and we’re stepping into the colder, slower, wetter, cosier part of the year 🤎

Is anyone else ready for slower days, crisp autumn mornings, cosy jumpers, pumpkin spice and all the Halloween vibes? 🎃☕️

My children went back to school today too, which feels very bittersweet, but I’m so glad to try and get some routine and normality back into our life!

Opening Fresco over the summer has been the most amazing whirlwind. We have pretty much lived at Fresco, we’ve juggled childcare (with the most amazing family & friends helping us out) and we’ve laughed, cried and I think some days I’ve been their in body and not in mind as I’ve been so tired. Before we opened, I also genuinely thought that on our quieter days I might be able to pick up the odd shift at the vets… how wrong was I 😂🤭

But I’m SO grateful for such a busy summer. 🤎
Grateful for every visit, every share, like, recommendation and lovely words. It’s all been so appreciated and has made those crazy first few months completely worth it.

Now we’re ready for our very first autumn at Fresco 🍂☕️

We’ve got pumpkin spice, autumn specials, our wreath-making evening and Halloween party coming up, plus a few extra events in the works… so keep your eyes peeled. 👀

We’ve also got some exciting things happening behind the scenes… although it’s becoming less of a secret because apparently I’m incapable of keeping one😂🤭

So thank you for giving us the most incredible first summer at Fresco

A little reminder that Fresco will be CLOSED tomorrow for Bank Holiday Monday while our team enjoy a well earned day off with their families and we enjoy a day with our children before they return to school after a very busy summer 🤎

We’ll be back open Tuesday the 1st from 7am, ready to welcome you for your coffee fix and breakfast favourites with a few added items on the menu and our autumn seasonal flavours for your lattes & matchas ✨

POV: I take ONE day off and the girls turn Fresco into a pub, set the kitchen on fire, build the world’s tallest bagel tower, create a giant ball pit… and finish the day with a disco 😭😂

Our Fresco Breakfast comes loaded with bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms, tomato, crispy hash brown bites, beans and buttery toast — everything you need to start your day properly!

Full Breakfast — £10.95
Small Breakfast — £8.95

As we continue to grow, we kindly ask that you please be patient with our team during busy periods. Everything is freshly prepared to order, and although we always work as quickly as possible, there may sometimes be a little wait. Please be kind, we genuinely are trying our very best and appreciate you all more than you know. 🤎

We’re currently updating our menus ready for 1st September, with some lovely new autumn specials on the way. We can’t wait to share them with you! 🍂☕️

Please also note that we will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August. We’ve decided to give our hardworking team the bank holiday off, and it will also allow us to spend some much-needed quality time with our children before they return to school.

We have worked continuously since opening, so we’re going to enjoy one precious day together as a family before coming back refreshed and ready for an exciting autumn at Fresco.

✨ 6 WEEKS OF FRESCO ✨

How it started… vs how it’s going.🥹

It’s hard to believe that just 6 weeks ago we opened the doors to Fresco Coffee

Looking back at that first photo — bare walls, ripped up floors, tools everywhere and a LOT of work ahead of us to now - looking at Fresco today still feels a little surreal.

It started with just me and Danny and a vision. No corporate company, no big boss behind us — just the two of us with an idea of what we wanted to create and the hope that people would actually walk through the doors. (I genuinely lost SO much sleep over that part 😂)

We wanted somewhere warm and welcoming. Somewhere for your morning coffee, breakfast dates and catch-ups. Somewhere people would genuinely want to come back to.

Fast forward six weeks and it has been everything we hoped for and so much more.
The familiar faces, people who have made us part of their daily routine, lovely reviews, recommendations, shares, queues out the door and ridiculously busy weekends… we genuinely couldn’t have imagined the support we’ve received. 🤎

And today probably summed up owning a small business perfectly. 😂
We had a little bump in the road with our chef calling in sick this morning, things still have to carry on and we have to ride the waves

Our weekends can be extremely busy, and unfortunately that can sometimes mean longer wait times. Everything is cooked and prepared fresh to order, so please bear with us during those crazy periods. Our team are working as quickly and as hard as they possibly can, and your patience really does mean a lot. 🤎

Tonight, after another absolutely manic day, I got in the car and hysterically cried the whole way home. 😂🥹
Sometimes us women just need a good cry, so no judgement please!! 😂
Not because I was unhappy. I think about 100 million different emotions just hit me all at once.
Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Grateful. Emotional. But more than anything… so unbelievably proud of us.

I care so much about Fresco and every person who walks through our doors. Probably too much sometimes. 😂 If I know something hasn't been quite right, someone’s had a longer wait or someone hasn't had the experience I wanted them to have, I genuinely feel it. I go home thinking about it because I always want our customers to leave happy.

So six weeks in, the biggest thank you goes to YOU.

Every coffee bought, breakfast ordered, review left, post shared, friend recommended and every single person who has walked through our doors has helped turn that empty shell into Fresco. 🥹🤎

Thank you for keeping us ridiculously busy. Thank you for your patience when we're stretched. And a massive thank you to our team for somehow keeping up with the madness and caring about Fresco alongside us.

6 weeks down… and I don't think me and Danny have properly processed what we've actually created yet. 🥹

From an empty shell and a slightly terrifying idea… to this.

A BIG thank you to Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club for dropping into Fresco Coffee last Saturday morning! 🏉☕️🤎

Fresh from a pre-season training session on the dunes, we had 30 hungry rugby lads, coaches and managers booked into Fresco… safe to say they’d worked up an appetite — and definitely put our team to work!

It was an absolute pleasure having you all in and getting everyone fuelled back up with breakfast and plenty of coffee!

We hope you all enjoyed your visit… and more importantly, that we managed to fill you all up! 👀😂
