This Saturday 26th September from 2pm, we’ll be Oktoberfest-ing in style at The Great Western! 🎉

Expect ice-cold Hoffmeister served in proper steins, delicious German-style bratwurst, plenty of good cheer and a little oompah-pah spirit thrown in for good measure.

From an idea and a vision, to a pub filled with food, laughter, music, friendships and community.

Tonight we hosted our very first Great Western Quiz Night — and what a fabulous night it was! 🧠🍕🍻
Nine teams battled it out over five rounds of general knowledge, entertainment, music, geography and history, with plenty of laughs and brilliant community spirit along the way.
The pizzas were fired, the drinks were flowing, and the competition was fierce right to the end!
The top prize was claimed, but things got more serious when we needed a tie-breaker for the all-important b***y prize… THE cauliflower! A fair game and Naturally, cauliflower recipes were then shared around the room… Thank you to everyone who came along and made our first quiz night such a cracking one. Until next time… keep those brains warmed up! 🚂✨

Our kitchen and FOH teams are putting their feet up for a very well-earned day off, which means Captain Shane and First Officer Dillyn are at the controls today.The kitchen is closed, BUT we’ve still got coffee, cakes, cookies, bar snacks and all your favourite drinks flowing from the bar.

Then tonight… it’s time for the very first GREAT WESTERN QUIZ! 🧠✨
