Another not so positive post for a Monday morning.....the challenges just keep coming 🙈
We are without toilets today due to another blockage, while we wait to get this sorted, we may only be able to seat those that have a booking. And, due to the series of challenges we have faced we have made the decision to close at 3pm today, to rest, reflect and take stock for the rest of the day ❤️ but on a positive note, look at these lovely freshly baked scones 😁

It's such a beautiful day, and we know it's going to be busy, BUT we are facing more challenges today 😞 Please be patient with us, we are short on staff, short on stock of menu items and potentially a problem with our drains. We are currently taking stock of what we can offer today. Food service will stop at 2pm, and we will then stay open until the cakes run out! We can only apologise, thanks for your patience ❤️

Phew, we made it through the day! Thank you to the customers that waited patiently and very sorry to those we had to turn away. We are experiencing some hiccups this weekend with our staffing, and may have to reduce what we offer or alter our opening hours - please bear with us, we hope to be back to normal soon.
A big thank you to all those that stepped up and came to help, you all know who you are, and we couldn't have done it without you 😍

We are looking for someone new to join our Tearoom family. We are a small, friendly, fun group to work with, and can boast the best views for any job!
Our two positions are seasonal, with an immediate start for the right candidates.
Kitchen Assistant: required to work 2 days each weekend - mainly to help with food prep and prepare food service items - shifts are for 7 hours and will be varied over the four day weekend - experience preferable, but not essential
Tearoom Cleaner: End of day cleaner required - for each of the days open (4 in total) 1.5 hours each day - experience preferable, but not essential

We are are currently facing some challenges within our small team and, for the foreseeable future, will change our opening hours to 4 days a week only. These will be Friday through to Monday, open at 1030am, with our food menu available from 11am. We hope to be able to open until 4pm (with the kitchen closing at 330pm), but please be patient with us if we need to tweak this. It's not a decision that has been easy to make, but the health and wellbeing of our staff are very important to us. Thank you all for your continued support, we really appreciate it ❤️

An update post:
⏰We will soon be extending our opening hours - whilst we are going up to 5 days a week during April, we are yet to finalise our summer opening hours. If you have visited the Tearoom recently, you may well have noticed a bus parked in the car park. This is a new and exciting project that is currently being worked on - watch this space for updates! 🚌

📅TABLE BOOKINGS - we've recently found out that our email enquiry form on the website is not working - to make it simpler, enquiries can now be emailed through: [email protected] - a dedicated booking email

📧This email will be checked twice a day, but this may not be possible during our opening hours. Any bookings requested through this email will only be confirmed once you have received a reply

💐Mother's Day 2026 💐
We will be offering a smaller menu alongside Afternoon Teas this Sunday. Due to demand, we opened more tables for bookings and have extended opening until 4pm. With this said, however, there are very limited tables available to book. There will be some wiggle room for walk-ins on the day - but please note that any calls on Sunday may not be answered if we are going to be as busy as we suspect 😁

What an amazing response we've had to our Festive Afternoon Teas this year! So much so, we are at capacity on Saturday (20th) and Sunday (21st) and limited spaces left for Friday 19th

Please note this will be our last weekend of opening before we take a break, recharge our batteries, and plan ahead for 2026
