Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last few days, especially today. We are truly honoured and incredibly grateful for the amazing support you've shown us.
Our soft launch exceeded every expectation, and we were absolutely overwhelmed by the number of guests who came through our doors. While that's something we're incredibly thankful for, it also highlighted that we simply weren't prepared for the level of support our community gave us.
To those of you who experienced long waits or any issues with your food or service today, we sincerely apologise. We know we fell short of the standards we want to deliver, and we're sorry if your experience wasn't what it should have been.
To everyone who visited during the quieter parts of the day and enjoyed their food, thank you so much for your kind words and support. If you enjoyed your visit, we'd really appreciate you spreading the word.
Bringing this pub back to life has been a real labour of love, and as with any new opening, there are a few teething problems to work through. We kindly ask for your patience while we iron these out and continue improving.
One of the main issues today was that our till system simply wasn't capable of handling the volume of orders we received. We're already taking steps to upgrade and improve the system so we're in a much stronger position for next weekend.
Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and incredible support. Seeing The Church Tavern busy and full of life again means the world to us, and we can't wait to welcome you back soon.
