Established in 1962, The Taj Mahal is one of the oldest restaurants in Birmingham City Centre. The family run business has been serving the finest Indian cuisine to visitors for more than half a century. The dishes on offer are taken from a classic Indian/Bangladeshi style way of preparation using a traditional tandoori oven. The restaurant offers a calm and welcoming environment for any setting,

from a romantic meal for two through to large parties. The staff are very friendly and customer conscientious so you will feel right at home as soon as you enter the premises.

This is absolutely massive news for the city. Not only is the birthplace of heavy metal (where Black Sabbath played their first gig) now protected, but it gives us hope that The Electric is soon to follow - and that Station Street will be saved from being demolished and transformed into a generic block of flats. A true victory for Brum's cultural heritage.
