Can we all take a moment for this special lady and her amazing cake

Kay turned 100 last week - yes that’s right, one hundred years young and just look at her.

She planned her own 1920s party and arrived in style. Celebrated with her beloved friend and family, dancing the night away.

How wonderful. A total inspiration to us all.

We moved house last Friday and I’ve only just started to feel like a human again 🤣

Good morning, sorry I’ve been quiet.

We had a cheeky few days away after my son’s birthday celebrations.

I’m now back and in the kitchen for 2 days before we move house on Friday 🙈🙈

Today was my boys 16th birthday

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you how Sweet Avenue started. I didn’t end up making his 1st birthday cake, I think I tried and threw it in the bin 🤣
We ended up with cupcakes.

The following year I attempted it. You will see it’s not perfect and what you can’t see is the back of the cake with split icing and wires in the figures 🙈

Fast forward 15 years and his cakes are a lot more adventurous and professional.

Proof that the more you practise and put your mind to something, anything can happen. Never give up.

A special shout out to my boy, who’s turned 16 today and got the results he wanted, passing his GCSEs.

We’re very proud of you, you worked so hard and never complained through the revision. We cannot wait to see what you do next.
