January can be one of the toughest months for our local independent businesses, pubs and hospitality venues. After the expense of Christmas and before the next payday, many are really feeling the pinch.
Last night, Cllr Perks paid a visit to one of our ward’s fantastic fish and chip shops. He has been supporting Sutton’s Fish Bar for well over two decades, and it was brilliant to see long queues of local residents doing the same. A great local business, a great community atmosphere, and a great evening meal.
Using local businesses keeps money in our community and helps protect the places we all value. If you are able to, please make a conscious effort to shop local this month and show your support.
