It is with great admiration and a touch of sadness that we announce the retirement of Matteo, the founder and driving force behind Buonissimo. After 25 years of dedication, passion, and hard work, Matteo has decided it is time to hang up his blue shirt and embrace a well-earned retirement.
Since opening the doors in 2000, Matteo and his team have created a cherished establishment in the heart of Harborne; a place where food, friendship and community unite. Matteo’s love for his craft, a passion for authentic Italian cuisine and his unwavering commitment to hospitality have defined Buonissmo from day one. While it is hard to imagine the restaurant without him, we are thrilled to watch as he embarks on this next stage of life and is able to spend more time with his friends and family. As Matteo steps into retirement, our incredible team - many of whom have been with us for years - will continue to serve the community and preserve the spirit of Buonissimo as we all know it.
We hope you will continue to support Buonissimo as it moves forward, and we wish the new owners the best of luck as Buonissimo will remain open and carry on trading under the same name and with the same staff. Congratulations Matteo for creating something so special, and thank you to our wonderful and dedicated team.
