Due to some personal family issues, unfortunately we will have to close the shop indefinitely (We will notify as soon as possible if we reopen)

My sincere apologies to anyone we have disappointed. In the meantime, may I recommend miahs kitchen on hawthorn road. They are good friends of ours and I trust they will give A class food, the same as us.

Spice of Madras has been awarded a new hygiene rating. I would like to thank the team (old Light of bengal staff) for getting a good score. We will continue working hard on getting the 5stars from the Birmingham Council

Edit: Change of ownership did not complete, therefore we have taken back the restaurant from Spice of Madras and will be reorganising. The restaurant has employed the old team from light of bengal and we are now open serving the light of bengal menu.
