✨ Unity Vigil – Break the Silence, End the Violence ✨

On Tuesday 16th September at 6PM, we are coming together at Tame Road by Jubilee Play Area (B68 0BJ) to stand in solidarity with women and girls who have been affected by gender-based, sexual, and racially motivated violence.

This vigil is about love, strength, and unity. 💜 Together we can raise our voices and show that violence has no place in our communities.

📍 Please join us, bring a candle, and stand side by side for change.

Birmingham Race Impact Group are delighted to use our Cafe platform to promote this share offer.

Birmingham Friends of the Earth & the The Warehouse - Birmingham Friends of the Earth's Little Green Community keep climate change on the agenda by being an exemplar of climate activism, and a role model to the green community.

They also host a plethora of workshops which support Birmingham in its vision for a Green City.

They need £50,000 to further improve their energy efficiency through renovations and solar PV installations.

We want to raise awareness of climate issues - especially its impact on the Black community, by partnering and shining a light of organisations that advocate & act for positive change.

The Share Offer is eligible for match funding, meaning that we get grant funding of 50p for every £1 invested, from the Cooperatives UK Energy Sharematch scheme.

So the more we can raise the more we invest, the more all invest in reducing our carbon footprint.
You can invest anything from £50 to £10,000 and become members of the Society.

There’s no Planet B.

CLEAN AIR FOR BIRMINGHAM!

If you’re ready to make a difference, JOIN The Clean Air Coalition @ AT BRIG CAFÉ on Saturday 30th November 2024 1pm (veggie lunch included).

This is Birmingham's newest youth-led action network, fighting for clean air in our city and a healthier future for us all.

Together, we’ll take on air pollution and call for real change across our city!

Birmingham’s air is toxic, with up to 1,000 deaths linked to air pollution each year. We can’t stand by. This event will be your opportunity to:
* Learn how you can influence local public policy,
* Meet inspiring activists and local leaders,
* Take action in our first collective demonstration to demand clean air commitments from the West Midlands Metro Mayor.

This launch event is about building a powerful collective voice for change in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Your voice matters - together, we can bring clean air onto the political agenda.

What’s on the agenda:
* Inspiring keynote speakers
* Group discussions and strategy sessions
* Meet-and-greet with local councillors
* Organisation for our first public action - to call on the mayor Richard Parker to focus his attention on the toxic air issues that are a blight on our city

VEGGIE LUNCH TheBigFeed Enjoy a free veggie lunch at 1:30 PM served by The Big Feed Project, at the vibrant Brig Café, a new space in the heart of Birmingham’s activist community, where we’ll connect over food, ideas, and fresh, fair-trade coffee.

Don’t miss this chance to join Birmingham’s clean air movement.
