Two years ago Ben joined us while studying engineering. He leaves as one of the best people we’ve had behind this bar.

He worked his way up to supervisor quickly, and it was never in doubt. Huge heart for hospitality and coffee, brilliant energy, better style than most of us, and a natural leader, the kind people actually want to follow.

Ben’s now off to his first role in engineering. Gutted for us, brilliant for him. He’ll smash it.

Thank you for everything, Ben. Always a seat at the bar for you.

A roaster live from Japan, and coffee’s roasted for clarity.

This Sunday, Apollon’s Gold takes over OFF Temple, Roasting for Clarity.

Yosh*tatsu joins us live from Japan to guide a tasting through a selection of rare coffees: the sourcing, the roasting, the resting, and the pursuit of clarity in the cup. We’ll brew small pour-over samples of each alongside him.

rish coffee roasters takes over the OFF Temple bar for one session only, Discovering Liberica.

Liberica is a rare coffee species you almost never see on a bar. We’re serving it three ways: as filter, through the Slayer with a limited milk drink, and as a guided side-by-side tasting of three rare competition lots.

Every Bean Tells a Story, four coffees, four origins.
coffee takes over the OFF Temple on Wednesday 5 August, 10AM–2PM, with coffees from Sierra Leone, Australia, China and Nigeria.

Drop in and taste, espresso, pour-over, batch brew. Elliott from Liima leads a guided tasting and origin walkthrough: where each coffee comes from, how it was produced, and what makes it different. The bar stays open until 2PM.

Free to attend. Registration recommended so we can plan numbers for the guided tasting, link in bio.

It’s getting hot this week, so we’re taking a few cold things outside.

From Thursday to Saturday, 10am-2pm the team will be running a small pop-up outside OFF Temple in Great Western Arcade.

On the menu:

Cold coffee, ice cream, cream caps and something sweet while the weather does its thing.
