After a few showery days, the sun's decided to stick around for a bit ☀️ We've got a lovely mild spell heading our way – think 19 to 20 degrees, with any rain mostly saving itself for the evenings. Perfect excuse to wander down Warwick Road, where the hanging baskets are looking gorgeous, and pop in for something delicious.

Our chef's been hard at work in the kitchen this afternoon, hand-preparing today's specials before they land beautifully on the plate. There's something about watching a dish come together that makes it taste even better once it's in front of you.

With the flowers blooming all around Acocks Green and the weather set to stay pleasant for the next couple of days, it feels like the perfect time for a relaxed lunch or dinner with us.

After a great plate and a late-night date, there's really only one way to finish the evening properly. 🍮

Tonight we're talking tiramisu, that classic combination of coffee-soaked sponge, mascarpone, and a dusting of cocoa that's stuck around for a reason. Some of you will tell us there's no need to mess with it, and we get that. A proper tiramisu, made the traditional way, is hard to beat.

But we also know a few of you have tried variations along the way, pistachio, limoncello, maybe even something a bit more adventurous, and swear it's just as good, if not better.

So tell us: are you a classic tiramisu purist, or have you branched out? What's the best twist you've tried, and did it actually win you over?

Drop your thoughts below, we're collecting the votes. 🍮

It's Thursday, which means it's time for the debate that never gets old in this kitchen. 🍅

Today's contender: our penne in a rich tomato sauce, slow-cooked until it's deep and sweet, finished with a shower of parmesan and fresh herbs. Simple, proper, no messing about.

But we know half of you are already thinking about a creamy sauce instead, and that's fair enough too. Every week it's the same split down the middle, tomato traditionalists on one side, cream lovers on the other, and neither side ever backs down.

So here's the question again: are you team tomato or team cream? No wrong answer, just strong opinions and a plate of penne to back yours up.

Drop your thoughts below, we're genuinely curious to see which one wins this week. 🍝

The sky's putting on a show tonight, so we thought we'd match the drama on our plates. 🌙

While everyone's outside craning their necks for tonight's partial solar eclipse, we'll be tucked away with the air-con on full, plating up bowls of creamy mushroom tagliatelle, silky sauce, tender mushrooms, a scatter of fresh parsley, the kind of thing that makes you forget it's still roasting outside.

Great plates and late-night dates, that's the vibe we're going for this week. With the warm spell sticking around for a few more days, honestly, the cool dining room might be the better show. Eclipse first, pasta after? Or pasta first and let the sky wait? Either way, we'll have a table and a fork ready.

Drop your thoughts below, eclipse or tagliatelle, which one's winning tonight? 🍝

Confession: it's been one of those weeks. The kind where you clock off on Friday and immediately start thinking about carbs. 🍝

So here's what's happening on our end today: fresh calzone coming out of the oven, golden and stuffed with all the good stuff, and a tiramisu behind it that's been quietly perfecting itself in the fridge since this morning. It's the kind of pairing that makes the week disappear a bit.

And because it's National Tell An Old Joke Day, we're not going to pass up the chance to lower the tone slightly. Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field. Groan away, you know you smiled.

Fancy swapping your Friday feeling for one of these? We'd love to see you in. Drop your thoughts below, or better yet, tell us your favourite terrible joke. We can always use more material.

Friday. The finish line. And your brain deserves a proper reward. 🧠🍤

You've made it through the week, you clever thing, and now it's time to refuel. Seafood is packed with omega-3s, which are brilliant for brain health, so tucking into a plate of ours isn't just delicious, it's basically self-care. 😉

Whether you fancy our golden, crispy calamari rings with a creamy dip and fresh salad, or you're going all in with a rich, tomato-based seafood risotto loaded with mussels and squid, we've got the perfect way to switch off and start your weekend right.

Recharge the brain. Treat the taste buds. Celebrate Friday the way it deserves.

⚽ Change of plan tonight, Pasta di Piazza AG family! ⚽⚽Share if you agree.🥅

We know exactly where everyone wants to be this evening, and it's not queuing for a table at ours. So instead of fighting it, we're joining you. The doors are staying shut tonight and the whole team is heading home (or to the pub) to get behind England.

It felt like the right call. Half our customers were going to cancel anyway, and the truth is, we didn't fancy cooking with one eye on the telly either. So we're taking the night off, all of us, together.

We'll be back open as usual tomorrow, ready to hear how the match went (please let it be good news).

Get your flags out, get loud, and enjoy the game. Come on England! 🏴

Wednesday's landing at 27 degrees, so still firmly in "let's not stand around in it" territory ☀️

Good news is our dining room is fully air-conditioned as always, so you can skip the sun and come and sit somewhere properly comfortable instead. Full lunch and dinner menus are running as normal today, whether you fancy a quick midweek lunch or a relaxed dinner later on.

Midweek heat calls for good food and cool air, in our books anyway. Who's joining us today? Drop your thoughts below 👇

We're back! 26 degrees today after our Monday break, and honestly, that's a pretty pleasant number to reopen on ☀️

Our dining room's fully air-conditioned as always, so whether it climbs higher tomorrow or not (we're keeping an eye on it), you'll always find it comfortable in here. Full lunch and dinner menus are running as normal today, so come and settle in.

Good to be open again. Who's popping in today? Drop your thoughts below 👇

Quick one for today: we're closed on Mondays, so no lunch or dinner service here I'm afraid 😴

Good timing to rest up too, because it's warming back up from tomorrow. When we reopen Tuesday, our dining room will be fully air-conditioned and ready, so you can dodge the heat and eat well at the same time. Consider today the calm before the (warm) storm.

See you Tuesday! Drop a 👋 below if you're already planning your visit.
