🤎 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 🤎
I’ve thought about what to write today because, if I’m being completely truthful, this year has tested me in ways I never imagined.
There have been smiles, laughter, busy days, achievements and some really wonderful moments. But behind all of that, there have also been tears, worry, exhaustion and days when I’ve struggled more than people probably realise.
Social media only ever shows a tiny part of someone’s life.
You can be the person who makes everyone laugh, who keeps everything ticking over, who looks like they’ve got it all together… and still be struggling behind closed doors.
I’ve always been someone who just gets on with things, but this year has taught me that sometimes you simply can’t. And that’s okay.
I’m learning that being strong doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine. Sometimes it’s admitting that things are hard, accepting help and allowing yourself to have a bad day.
So today, please remember to check in on the people who always seem okay. The busy ones. The funny ones. The ones who are always there for everybody else.
And if you’re struggling yourself, please don’t feel you have to hide it. ❤️
Be kind. You really never know what someone else is carrying. 🤎
