⚽🧱 The World Cup may be coming to an end, and England haven’t quite brought it home this time… but we’re still in high spirits at Brick Bank! ☕💛

We’re looking ahead to what we hope will be a brilliant summer filled with family fun, new LEGO sets, local markets, special events and plenty more happening both inside and outside the café.

🎉🧱 And the winners are… 🧱🎉

A huge congratulations to Laura Jane and Bethany Lawlor, our two winners of the June Mystery LEGO Hamper Competition! 🥳🎁

Your prizes are ready to collect from the cafe!

We did have a few technical issues with the videos of the spinning wheel deciding our winners, but we’ve double-checked the results to make sure everything was fair and correct.

A massive thank you to everyone who entered and, more importantly, for making our first birthday month such a memorable one. We really do appreciate every like, share and visit.

Our next competition will be launching in August to coincide with the Yorkshire Day Market, so keep an eye on our page for that!

In the meantime, we’ve got plenty to look forward to with Bingley Baby Social, Brick and Banter, and the summer holidays just around the corner.

☀️☕ Happy Saturday everyone! ☕☀️

First of all, apologies that we’ve been a little quieter than usual on social media recently. We promise we’ve not disappeared! 😄

We’ve been busy working away behind the scenes on a couple of exciting things, as well as starting to prepare for what we hope will be a fun-packed summer holiday programme. Watch this space… 👀🧱

For today though, it’s all about Bingley’s first Soul, Ska & Scooter Day! 🛵🎶

There’s lots happening across the Market Square, Jubilee Gardens and Myrtle Park, and you’ll find us on the Market Square with plenty of LEGO for you to browse and enjoy while you’re out soaking up the atmosphere.

If you’re venturing a little further afield this weekend, our friends at Northern Indie Collective are also launching their first two pop-up markets:

🌿 Tomorrow at Piglove by the River in Leeds

Both promise to be fantastic events packed with brilliant local independent traders, so if you get the chance, go along and show them some support.

🧱☕ Today’s the day… Brick and Banter begins! ☕🧱

From 11am–2pm today, we’re launching Brick and Banter – our brand new LEGO social for the over-50s.

The idea is simple: good company, good conversation, a brew in hand and some LEGO building thrown in for good measure.

Whether you’re a lifelong LEGO fan, haven’t touched a brick in years, or simply fancy getting out of the house for a chat and meeting some new people, we’d love to welcome you along.

There’s no pressure, no experience needed and no expectations. Just a relaxed, friendly space where you can enjoy a cuppa, get creative and have a natter with like-minded people.

After all, you’re never too old to build something amazing… or to make a few new friends along the way 💛

So if you know someone who might enjoy it, bring them along too.

💛🧱 A Huge Thank You, Bingley! 🧱💛

What a day yesterday was!

It was amazing to see so many people joining us both in the café and on the Market Square to celebrate our 1st Birthday Bash. From the moment we opened until the very end, the support from our community was incredible.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, had a build, grabbed a drink, joined in the scavenger hunt(still open to join in the fun btw), listened to the music, visited the stalls and helped make the day so special.

We’d also like to say a massive thank you to all of the traders, performers and entertainers who gave up their time to help create such a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

Special thanks go to our friends at Specialist Autism Services, Autism Bricks UK and Northern Indie Collective for their support, enthusiasm and hard work in helping bring the event together.

And of course, a huge thank you to our staff and volunteers. Events like this don’t happen by magic, and we’re incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated team helping us every step of the way.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has supported Brick Bank over the last year. Yesterday was a celebration of everything we’ve built together as a community, and we’re already excited about what comes next.

Finally, we’d like to wish all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures out there a very Happy Father’s Day. We hope you’ve had a fantastic day and have been thoroughly spoiled! 💙

We’re officially 1 year old! 🎂🥳

It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we first opened our doors, and today we can’t wait to celebrate with the amazing community that has supported us every step of the way.

We’ve got a packed day of fun planned both in the café and on the Market Square, including:

🎪 Fantastic local stalls with Northern Indie Collective
🔎 Our brand new Town-Wide Scavenger Hunt
🎧 A DJ all day long (yes, he’ll take requests!)
🎤 Live entertainment from ockerbyacademy and Bingley Ukulele Group
⭐ An Open Mic for any budding singers, musicians, groups… or even the occasional lip-sync superstar!
🧱 Lots of LEGO fun and activities
🎨 Face painting and glitter tattoos inside the café

Whether you’re joining us for five minutes or five hours, we’d love to see you.

Most importantly, we’d like to say a huge thank you. Thank you for every visit, every coffee, every build, every event attended, every post shared and every bit of support you’ve shown us over the last year.

You’ve helped make Brick Bank Café what it is today, and we’re incredibly grateful.
