🌟 Staff Appreciation Spotlight 🌟

This week we'd like to shine a spotlight on Lily M and the fantastic contribution she makes to the kitchen team! πŸ‘

Since joining us, Lily has embraced her role on the cold station with confidence and enthusiasm. She has taken the responsibility in her stride and works brilliantly alongside the rest of the kitchen team, helping to keep service running smoothly, even during busy periods.

Lily has a great work ethic and approaches every shift with a calm, positive attitude. She enjoys the rhythm and organisation of the cold station, and it's clear to see the pride she takes in doing the job well. Her willingness to learn, adapt, and support the team wherever needed has made her a valued member of Team Loft.

What stands out most is Lily's determination and maturity. While balancing her studies and preparing for important exams, she continues to give her best at work and has a clear vision for her future. Her commitment, reliability, and eagerness to develop new skills are qualities that will take her far.

Lily has integrated really well into the team and has helped strengthen the positive and supportive culture we strive to create. We're incredibly grateful for everything she brings to The Loft and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and succeed.

Thank you for all your hard work, Lily β€” you're doing a fantastic job! πŸ’™β

I've been a book lover for as long as I can remember, but lately I've realised something strange.

I spend so much of my working life reading reports, assessments, and lengthy documents that I've found it harder and harder to settle into a book just for enjoyment.

This image represents me on Sunday afternoon, sitting at the bench up at the dog field. While the dogs ran, wrestled, and rolled around in the grass, I picked up this month's Book Club read, This Book Made Me Think of You.

It's not a life-changing masterpiece. It's a fairly predictable romance. But sitting in the breeze and sunshine, I found myself completely immersed in the story, enjoying a light read for the first time in ages.

It reminded me that reading doesn't always have to challenge us. Sometimes it just needs to give us a little escape.

That's exactly what we love about our Book Club and why we're excited to launch our new Recommended Reads evenings on Wednesdays throughout June. A chance to chat books, swap recommendations, and celebrate the simple pleasure of reading.

What book has helped you switch off recently? πŸ“š

There is still space left for this Wednesday's first ever Recommended Reads Club. All you need to do is bring yourself, a favourite book or two and an empty tummy for an evening with like-minded book lovers, a one-pot veggie supper and some cosy chat-
