Due to the road closures for the event, and the road closed from 6.15am until approximately 11.10am.

THE WEE CROOK WILL BE OPENING AT 12 NOON THIS SUNDAY.

We’ll see you from 12pm for coffee, cake, lunch and a warm Wee Crook Cafe welcome! ☕️🍰

As summer starts to wind down at the Wee Crook Cafe, we wanted to say a huge thank you to our amazing team.

Our first summer open at The Wee Crook has been some summer! We’ve welcomed people from all over the world, along with all the familiar faces who have become part of our weekly routine — and we really do notice when you’re not in!

A special thank you to our summer helpers Alastair, Mirren, Jill and Lottie as they head back to university. We’ll miss you all ❣️

And a massive thank you to our core team — Kerry, Susan, Debbie, Clare, Chloe, Callum, Dart, Alistair, Faye, Zara and Janice — for your amazing commitment and hard work throughout such a busy summer. Who will continue to be the friendly faces making sure every visit to The Wee Crook comes with a warm welcome.

And to welcome Ashley, newly joining our team. We’re delighted to have you with us!

What a summer it’s been! Hopefully a few more days of sunshine before we looking forward to autumn, crisp mornings, changing colours and, before long, fire time again! 🔥🍂

We realised it's been a little while since we last popped up on your Facebook feed... so we thought it was about time we said hello!

Summer has certainly kept us busy here at The Wee Crook Cafe with lots of lovely visitors stopping by to enjoy the warmer days, the countryside, and of course plenty of good food and coffee. We’re so grateful to everyone who has popped in to see us.

Whether you're stopping for a homemade lunch, coffee and cake, or just taking a moment to enjoy the views, there's always a warm welcome waiting.

And if you're on the go, don't forget The Tiny Crook Takeaway is now open too! Pop by for freshly filled cold rolls, hot and cold drinks, ice cream and a quick bite to eat before continuing your journey. 🥪☕🍦

Only in Scotland can you leave the house with sunglasses, a waterproof, and a jumper—all at the same time! But for now we are enjoying this amazing sunshine while it lasts!!

Whatever the forecast has in store, The Wee Crook Cafe is the perfect place to escape it. Whether you're catching up with friends, meeting family, taking a break from shopping, or simply looking for a cosy corner and a great coffee, there's always a warm welcome waiting for you.

Roadworks Complete – We're Back to Normal!

Great news! The roadworks on the A701 are now complete and the road has fully reopened. 🎉

A big thank you to everyone who managed to make it to us today and continued to support us despite the disruption, Including John who did manage to get access and said when stopped, he had an important meeting to attend at the Wee Crook Cafe, which was a bacon and egg roll and a latte🥓🍳🫓☕️

📢 Roadworks Update – A701 Closure Today

The roadworks that were due to take place last Friday and didn't happen are now underway today.

Unfortunately, although we were previously told that customers would be allowed access through the works, we have been informed this morning that traffic will now be turned back.

🚧 The A701 is closed from the Biggar side, with the closure currently in place approximately half a mile from Broughton. No traffic is being allowed through from that direction.

✅ Access remains open from the Moffat (south) side. Visitors can travel as far as the Wee Crook Cafe and we will remain OPEN !! but there is no further access along the A701 beyond the cafe.

We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day and review opening times as day progresses. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
