Dear friends,
As many of you already know, we are embarking on a new chapter in our lives: semi-retirement. Our beloved Wickham Bistro served its final meal on Christmas Day 2024. After a brief pause to recharge, we will reopen on Monday 3rd February 2025, with a fresh new look, a new name, and an exciting menu. Sammy and Milo—many of you will fondly remember Milo from our early days—will be taking the reins together, while we step back to support them from behind the scenes.
We have a long list of adventures awaiting us: tending to our allotments, spending precious time with our grandsons, finishing the book, reconnecting with friends we haven’t seen in years, traveling to new places, and finally completing our home decorating. What a great 8.5 years we have had and surviving lockdown!
The Bistro has been a dream years in the making, and we are incredibly proud to have brought it to life in our own unique style with our children. We are grateful for the love and support you have shown us along the way. Our commitment to using local, seasonal ingredients and handmade creations has always been at the heart of our menu. Though it was small, we aimed to ensure there was something for everyone. Our vision was to cultivate a relaxed atmosphere, making you feel as if you were dining in our home, enjoying real, homemade food. We hope you’ve enjoyed the diverse array of dishes, cakes, desserts, and innovative food combinations we introduced throughout our time together.
Running Wickham Bistro has been a joyful journey, filled with laughter and friendships. We sincerely hope you will continue to visit and support the business as it transitions to its new ownership under Sammy and Milo. It has been an absolute pleasure serving you, and we cherish the memories we’ve created.
