Fantastic atmosphere at the bar yesterday evening for our Pub Of The Year (POTY) presentation. 🙌
Thanks to Roger Green and all at CAMRA for the award AND for our amazing customers (and Purdey the dog!) who came along en masse to support us.
Those in attendance heard that Robin Hill was ending his involvement with the Brickmaker’s from the end of June and Martin thanked Robin for all his work and said that without his input from the start the pub would never have got off the ground.
It was the 4th time in 5 years that the Brickmaker’s has won the prestigious award! 🍻🍻

We’re delighted to welcome back this evening DJ Soulprovyder to keep the party atmosphere going following the Pub Of The Year presentation (7pm). 🎉 🎉 🎶 🎶
DJ Soulprovyder cuts across many musical genres, journeying from his disco and afro latin jazz funk roots to a more deeper electronic/tech house sound.
If you haven’t heard him before you’ll love it! Shuffle to the groove!! Plenty of iced water available to keep you cool! 🍻

Finally made it down to the lovely Nightingale Cider Farm in Tenterden to present our cider of the Spring Festival certificate. Discovery is a beautiful 6% medium still cider made with Discovery and Redlove apples.
On hand to receive the award were Sam and Olly Nightingale. Shout out too to chief cider maker, Max.
Watch out for the Dabinett and Bramley collaboration with Ross-on-Wye and for a new Perry - all coming very soon. 🍻

Real pleasure to visit the Lady Luck nano brewery out the back of the Little Angel pub in lovely Whitby. We were there to present them with the beer of the Spring festival award for their fabulous 4.5% Black Cat Porter. Also couldn’t miss the opportunity to sample the Double Black Cat Porter a mere 9% and absolutely delicious! 😋
Congratulations to Arran and Gary for their achievement - and for Richard, the owner of the Little Angel, and Claire for pouring our beers.
Look out for more of their beers at the Brickmaker’s in the future. 🍻🍻
