C L O S E D - T H U R S D A Y

Thank you for all the comments, messages, food parcels and love sent following the announcement about our precious Rolando❤️
We knew there would be some response, but the reaction has been very overwhelming🥹 I/we haven't had chance to respond to them all but please know we've read them. The memories and the stories that have been shared with us in the last couple of days are so heartwarming to read. We feel very lucky to love and have been loved by him❤️

For obvious reasons, I haven't been in to churn this week🍦 and we have slowly sold out of gelato.
That, coupled with some staffing issues, means we will be closed today.
I will endeavour to get stocked up to get you through the last weekend of the school hols!🍦🤞🏼☀️

Dearest friends and Poma pals,

To coin a phrase he'd use himself...
Rolando Giovanni Poma has left the village💔

Our brilliant Dad died, at home, on the morning of Monday 31st August. He was surrounded by his loved ones, following a devastatingly short battle with cancer. We are left with a gaping hole in the heart of our family.

He belonged to us, but I know that through his family, and the various businesses he had in this area since the early 80s, there are a lot of you out there who know and cherish him almost as much as we do.

Please, give your loved ones an extra big squeeze today, and perhaps share a drink for our most beloved dad, Papá, husband, uncle, Zio, fratello, brother-in-law, father-in-law, father-in-love, amico, friend, and of course, Nonno❤️
