Last week the results of the Great Taste Awards 2026 were released and we are delighted to report that the two products we entered were both awarded stars! Our cold smoked salmon 2⭐⭐ and our smoked duck breast 1⭐

To put this in perspective there were 15,038 products entered in to the awards and 4,286 (28.5%) were awarded 1-star and only 1,596 (10.6%) achieved 2-stars. You can see why we were so pleased!

All entries are blind tasted by the judges and we received some lovely comments.

"The fish tastes fresh and there is a pleasant sweetness with delicate smoke"
"The mouthfeel was tender, creamy and melt in the mouth without being greasy"

"The smokiness was subtle and we felt if didn't overpower the meat"
"The mouthfeel is firm, but the meat has retained its juiciness, and is tender and moist"

As a small business being a recipient of these awards means so much. It is recognition of the early mornings, long days and the commitment that our small team has in producing quality products every week.
