Join us for a relaxed afternoon of preserving, making the most of seasonal produce and anything growing in abundance 🍏

If you have any surplus apples, pears, berries or other home-grown produce, bring it along! Depending on what we have available tomorrow, we’ll be making fresh juices, jams, pickles and other preserves.

Everyone is welcome to come along, get involved and lend a hand. The more hands, the more we can make and share!

// SPEECHES BEFORE OR AFTER \\

I always recommend doing your speeches before the food, with one very important condition… everyone doing a speech actually sticks to their allocated time! 😂

Here’s why…

If you’re giving a speech, chances are you’re thinking about it all morning. You’ve got the nerves, the dread and that little voice reminding you that in a couple of hours, everyone in the room is going to be looking at you.

Get the speeches done first and you can actually relax, be present and enjoy your wedding breakfast!

There’s another reason too…

By the time the final tables are being served, your top table and first few tables may have nearly finished eating.

Naturally, people start moving. Someone pops outside for a cigarette, someone goes to the bar, someone goes to the toilet and others just have a little wander.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but then we have the job of trying to get everyone back into the room, seated and quiet ready for the speeches!

So my vote?

Speeches first. Get the formalities done, let everyone relax and enjoy their food and then, once the wedding breakfast is finished, everyone is free to wander, chat, drink and get ready to dance the night away 💃

But I know everyone has an opinion on this one…

We’ve been little busy bees today! 🐝

A wonderful hog roast at The Beverley Barn, alongside a full day of wedding service for Jade and Chloe at the Grannery Barn.

Jade & Chloes wedding breakfast was freshly made pizzas, followed by loaded fries this evening and, of course, the Ice Cream Tricycle! 🍕🍟🍦

It’s safe to say today’s favourite ice-cream flavour was raspberry and white chocolate!

A huge congratulations to both of our wonderful couples.
