Parasols are up, Dexter taking a breather before his shift starts in the shop.
If you’re popping over to Ford & Etal Estate come across and enjoy the beautiful historic Ford. Plenty of free parking. We’ve got Lavazza bean coffee, pots of loose-leaf teas, cakes, scones, and hot food options.

We’re the village shop, post office and café that’s here Tuesday to Sunday 10-4pm. A cuppa and a bite to eat with us helps keep this little place going for the village.

Sunday morning in Ford ☀️
Fresh hot homemade breakfast rolls on James Ford & Son rolls, a proper pot of tea from Brew Tea Co. or our Super Crema coffee from Lavazza UK finishing off with a quiet relaxing wander around our beautiful village.

Dexter’s already on the sofa doing quality control and he’s given this morning’s rolls his full approval 🐶

We’re a dog-friendly village shop — four-legged regulars (and first-timers) are always welcome.

Heading to Ford today?

Why not visit Ford’s village cafe — the villages coffee shop, post office and B&B in the middle of the village. Open 10–4 today.

Proper pots of loose-leaf tea, Fresh Lavazza bean coffee, breakfast baps, sandwiches, toasted paninis, scones with jam and clotted cream, soups, cake, and plenty of snacks and cold drinks…. Beers/wine if you fancy it.

Plenty of garden tables if the weather allows.

As always.. Dexter on greeting duty.

If you’re coming for the amazing Pottery Keith Webster, The horse shoe forge antiques, Petal n Paint creations with all sorts of crafts and plants, the stunning historical Lady Waterford Hall, the 800+ year old Church, Woodland walks, Routin Linn Waterfall, Ford Moss Nature Reserve or just a sit-down in the village and enjoys the tranquil views — Come and see us.

We’re looking for a bit of weekday kitchen help ☕
Hector, who’s been a star in the kitchen this year (Tue–Fri, 10–4), is off to uni soon. After that it’s just Doug and Rach in the week — and two of us isn’t enough when it gets busy.
We’re after someone friendly, hard-working and reliable to help with basic kitchen jobs (prep, washing up, keeping things ticking over). No experience needed — we’ll show you everything.
• Casual / flexible — even a couple of days or a few hours a week would be a massive help
• Ideally Tue–Fri around 10am–4pm, but happy to work around what you can do
• From Sept-Nov to start then extending later into the year to be discussed
• Small family-run shop & coffee shop in Ford village (TD15 2QG)
We’re quite rural, so own transport or living fairly locally is a big plus.
