💙🧡 Holy Island Harbour - RNLI Day 🧡💙
Saturday 11th July 2026 - 10.30am to 3.30pm

Come and join us for the Holy Island Harbour Day in support of the RNLI Seahouses Lifeboat Station

We will hopefully be bringing both the ‘D’ Class Inshorr Lifeboat and the Shannon Alll Weather boat to Holy Island, which you will be able to tour around. There are also some water safety demos planned. (Operational Commitments Permitting)

The Coastguard will be here as well. We are also delighted to have the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust too which will have their vehicles and tenders out for you to see (did you know they keep a working fire engine on Holy Island). Other local organisations will be here for you to talk to such as Natural England and it will be a great opportunity to see the new displays in the Window on Wild Lindisfarne.

The local cafes, pubs and businesses will all be open (only a short walk) and there will be a raffle (in aid of the RNLI and the Holy Island Development Trust) with prizes including two separate winter-breaks on the Island.

Important, please note - in order to get the RNLI boats here, the event is held over the closed tide. The tide shuts at 1030hrs and re-opens at 1510hrs, so why not come before the tide and make a day of it on the Island? And, as this is a Saturday, it is also possible to come on the 477 bus from Berwick and return in the afternoon – check the Glen Valley website for the timetable (https://tinyurl.com/HIBusTimes).

We’re the place to be on Saturday 4th of July! 🪩

The tide rises, the tide falls. The twilight darkens, the curlew calls. Along the sea-sands damp and brown. The traveller hastens toward the town, and the tide rises, the tide falls…
