It is with a great deal of sadness that we have made the difficult decision to close Cocoa Cafe at the end of this week.
The constantly increasing cost of running the business has taken us to the point where it is no longer sustainable. Rising energy costs, food and drink supplier costs and an increasing wage bill, coupled with a huge increase in raw chocolate wholesale prices has meant that whilst the business is still profitable, it is not enough to live on.
When I bought I Should Cocoa 11 years ago , it was a huge effort but was ultimately mentally and financially rewarding. The mental, physical and financial strain has now become overwhelming and cannot continue.
The entire team, both past and present would like to thank all of our guests and regulars for being loyal and supportive over the last decade. I would also like to thank the team for putting up with me for so long!
We have contacted most of our meeting groups that we have details for, please contact us if you have not heard from us.
We have a few chocolate characters & bars that are now at half price, we have hand made chocolates until they run out.
We are hoping to be open upto and including this Saturday 1st August but please be aware that we will be running stocks down and some menu items will not be available.
