They think its all over!!!!!

Yes we are passing the pub over to the very capable hands of Brown Ales Pub Co.

But for now we are still trading - we are low on stock and apologise if we don't
have your choice of drink.

This Sunday 19th July from 2 - 6 pm will be one of the rare times that Neil and Noreen will be socialising in there own pub 'The Black Swan'
We would love to see you before the sale completes.

May we take this opportunity to thank all our many staff that have passed through the pub - many have become lifelong friends.
You know where I am if ever you need me.
Also thankyou to all our lovely customers in all our three pubs that we have had spanning nearly 30 years! Once again many lifelong friends made along the way.

Some may not be aware but we are still open until the new owners take over for drinks only for the next 6-8 weeks (est) ...

So new opening hours are

Tuesday - Thursday* 4-10:30pm
Friday 3-10:30**
Saturday 12-10:30

We are FULLY BOOKED each eveing now - few tables left friday + saturday daytime is all ...

And have made the decision to end takeaways all together now because of this - (any takeaways already pre ordered will be honoured of course )

Happy Friday, everyone! 🍷
We are gearing up for a very busy weekend ahead, and we wanted to share a couple of quick updates:
Bookings: We are completely fully booked for tables this weekend!
Takeaways: Please note that we do not do takeaways at all on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you haven’t booked and pop in anyway, we will have a waiting list running, but please bear with us as table availability will be very limited.

We are simply fully booked in house on these sessions and cannot supply the quality (or consistency) we're happy with, no service is better than bad service! 💚

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

As you may be aware the Black Swan is under offer of a sale. It is an exciting time for prospective buyers who are coming in and we are really happy to see what lies ahead for the Black Swan and wish them all the best!
We have been here for 22years and have made many lifelong friends and had many memorable experiences.
We announced that the kitchen will be closing on the 6th June – following this we have had an increase in demand for tables and some quite chaotic shifts. All credit to the Black Swan Staff both in the bar and in the kitchen – they’ve all been amazing.
Due to this there are some changes to the last few weekend services.
All takeaways on Fridays and Saturdays MUST book your slot by the day before and send order by noon on the day of collection or before.
TAKEAWAYS WILL CEASE BY THURSDAY 4TH JUNE
NO TAKEAWAYS FRIDAY 5TH OR SATURDAY 6TH

ALL OF MAY
We will now be taking LIMITED bookings up until 7.15pm on the Fridays and Saturdays and until 8pm Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
We will no longer take bookings over the phone on the night once we are busy in the bar. We don’t have time to monitor the phone when busy or indeed save the tables – hope you all understand.
Walk ins will be considered should we have a table or one coming up.
The Tapas should be available for all food sessions. Some of the other items may be limited as we run our stock down – once they’re gone that’s it!
We thank you for eating with us over the last 22years!
Once kitchen closes we will be open for drinks until the sale goes through.

Important Notice

On Saturday the 6th of June 2026, The Black Swan kitchen will operate its final food service ...

After a good run of nearly 22 years Neil, our son & head chef is retiring from the industry therefore the menu and the kitchen operation as we know it will retire with him. We would like to thank all the kitchen staff past to present day for all their hard work along this journey making the Black Swan such a special place ❤️

The Black Swan has prospective new ownership on the horizon and Neil sees this as the right time to step down and provide a change of pace for him and his family.

We, along with Neil would like to thank all our customers, past & present for your patronage and support over all the years weve been operating - the Swan would be nothing without you all ❤️

Please note we are business as usual up until this date and then we will keep everyone updated accordingly regarding the future of the pub.

All vouchers must be used by 31st May - as we may be busy please use as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment.
