A little apology from me tonight…

I’m so sorry, but due to personal family reasons, The Back Kitchen won’t be open tonight. I’m needed at home.❤️

This is probably one of the hardest parts of being self-employed and being the one in charge. Sometimes you have to make a decision about what matters most in the here and now.

And tonight, that’s my family.

I appreciate each and every one of my customers more than you probably realise, and I’m genuinely sorry for any inconvenience caused.

But sometimes, other things are just more important.

Thank you, as always, for your understanding and support.

Don’t worry, We’ll be back cooking for you on Friday

THAT’S IT! I’VE HAD ENOUGH!

I can’t take it anymore!

You probably already know, but this year has very much been about finding our feet — figuring out what works, what doesn’t, what needs changing and what the hell were we thinking when we put things where we did!

And let’s be honest… we’ve all shed far too many tears and had too many tantrums over lost items or banged shins and heads in that pot wash area, so today it’s getting sorted!

I’m fairly certain it was designed for toddlers. Sadly, child labour was abolished a long time ago, so we’ve had to make it suitable for actual adults… and, more importantly, Aidan’s 7ft lanky back!

So today I’m having a bit of a reshuffle and trying to make the kitchen work better for all of us.

So, to make sure we’re back up and running and ready to feed you all tonight, we’ll be opening slightly later than planned.

FOOD WILL BE SERVED FROM 6PM TONIGHT INSTEAD OF 5PM.

Apologies for any inconvenience, but hopefully this little reshuffle will make life a whole lot easier for us all going forward!

Right… back to moving things, swearing at things and pretending I know what I’m doing.

See you from 6pm!

Well… we’ve only gone and done it again!

Unfortunately, we’ve had to close early today because WE’VE RUN OUT OF FOOD!

Far too many hungry people for this little kitchen to keep up with today!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along, booked a table, brought the family, brought the friends and filled our little pub with hungry faces. We honestly can’t thank you enough!

Moving into the winter season, we’ll be running our Sunday lunches from 12pm until they’re gone.

So if you’re craving a proper Sunday dinner, BOOK EARLY to avoid disappointment!

Once it’s gone… it’s gone! And apparently, you lot are VERY good at making it disappear!

Well, we’ve only gone and done it… our Christmas Day menu AND New Year’s Eve menu are officially LIVE!
