It’s easy to imagine human trafficking only happening across international borders, but it also happens right here in Northern Ireland. It can affect local people, people who have come here from other countries, someone you know or even your neighbour.
From pop up brothels and cannabis farms to fishing villages, factories and ordinary neighbourhoods, people can be trapped, controlled and exploited while suffering in silence.
It may be closer than we think and is often hidden in plain sight.
We believe there is always hope beyond trafficking. By increasing awareness and understanding the reality of exploitation, we can help ensure that more people are recognised, supported and given the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
