Well….
After 11 years we have achieved what we thought would be nearly impossible.
What a honour it was to be surrounded by the amazing people in our hospitality industry last night at the in Dublin City.
The room setup at the was truly breathtaking, and the food and service impeccable.
We want to congratulate not just the winners of awards last night, but everyone who was there, who were nominated, and everyone else in between.
We have a great hospitality industry in Ireland. North and South. We really do.
To be recognised as Ireland’s best cafe ( our Antrim Road store was the nomination) is actually a dream come true.
To open up in a such a warm and welcoming area of the city has been such a delight over the last 2 years.
We have made some mistakes along the way but are trying our best everyday to be better, more accommodating, progressive and consistent as we can be.
Hospitality is a hard gig. It’s been made even harder with the constant cost of living increasing, higher expectations from customers, no relief in our VAT bills, energy price increases…blah blah blah.
And that’s why this award is extra special, in such a time of uncertainty, pressure and hardship.
At the core of this prestigious award is our staff. They made this possible. And this one’s for them.
For the staff of the Antrim Road📍and all our other sites including The OG mothership
But it’s also dedicated to many more…..
This is for the Chefs who have come and gone, the Chefs still with us.
The baristas, the waiting staff, the KPs who break their back everyday in the pot wash.
The part timers, the full timers, the guys who deliver our supplies.
for providing our amazing coffee beans,
and for their amazing cakes and sweet treats.
for the best bread on the Island,
for our branding and bringing our ideas to fruition.
Our regulars customers, our hardcore regulars ( you know who you are ) and just anyone who graces our doors.
This award is dedicated to all of you.
We are made up to finally get a seat at the table.
More to follow.đź’›
