Winner of Northern Ireland Neighbourhood Pub of the Year Award in 2010, our current owner is proud to support numerous local charities and run a number of community events. We run a range of events, from our regular open mic night through to retro discos and seasonal functions. Our current owner has worked hard to maintain the warm and homely atmosphere passed down through the ages. If you're looking for a traditional restaurant with a modern twist, look no further than Ownies Bar & Bistro. Whether it's a locally-sourced special or a quiet drink by the fire, you will find it all in our welcoming venue. Established as The Joymount Arms in 1846, the bar has since been re-branded as Ownies Bar & Bistro. The name change came about in tribute to Leo McCullogh, owner of the bar for over 70 years. Fondly nicknamed 'Ownie' after the patrons overheard his grandchildren failing to pronounce his name, the name has stuck ever since. Ownies Bar & Bistro Fanโs Guidelines
