Nisar caught up with Liam from Rewired for Freedom after we had the pleasure of welcoming the guys into The Khayber for some food following their walk.

Every Tuesday at 7pm, the Rewired for Freedom community meets at Belfast Castle for a walk around Cave Hill — bringing people together to connect, support one another and take positive steps forward.

We were only too happy to play a small part this time around, and next time we’ll be swapping the kitchen for the walking boots and joining the guys ourselves. 🙌

It was a real pleasure to welcome Liam and the Rewired for Freedom community to The Khayber for a meal together after their recent meetup. 🙌

What Liam is building goes far beyond bringing people together — it’s a community helping those impacted by addiction to heal, grow, overcome and move forward with purpose.

The secret behind so many of our favourite dishes? The tandoor.

Every cut of meat is marinated for hours in a carefully balanced blend of authentic herbs, spices and yoghurt before it's cooked by our specialist tandoor chef in our traditional clay oven.

The intense heat locks in all those flavours while creating that unmistakable smoky finish you'll find in everything from our Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Specials to many of the curries our guests love. Even our fresh naan breads are baked in the tandoor.

It's a time-honoured way of cooking that takes skill, patience and care... and we think you can taste the difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a local charity.

We're delighted to announce that Dreams 2 Memories has been chosen by our community to receive our £500 donation.

The incredible work they do, creating unforgettable experiences and making dreams come true for adults living with terminal cancer, is something we deeply admire. It's a cause that makes a real difference to local families, and we're honoured to play a small part in supporting it.

Giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years is something that's incredibly important to everyone at The Khayber, and this is just the beginning. We plan to run this initiative every six months, shining a light on more of the amazing charities and organisations doing life-changing work across our community.

Congratulations to Dreams 2 Memories, and thank you again to everyone who nominated a charity. ❤️

Great Indian food doesn't happen by accident.

It's the little things you don't always see that make the biggest difference.

Our onion bhajis are made from scratch. Our naan breads are freshly prepared. Every piece of meat and fish destined for the tandoor is carefully marinated to let the flavours develop before it ever reaches the fire.

It's a slower way of doing things, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Because when you make as much as possible in-house, every dish that leaves the kitchen tastes exactly as it should.
