Hi everyone!
This is Adam, Tasty Bird owner.
I must say, this message is really, truly overdue.
Some of you might know me in person, most don't. For the ones who got to know me through Tasty Bird: Love you guys, I'm glad we became friends and I did my fair share of work just to make sure you're happy with my services and I'm also happy I got some extra recognition for doing the good work, mostly for advocating for, advertising and implementing cruelty free foods. Vegan friends of mine: HUGE THANK YOU for supporting my business over the years π
And now back to the subject:
As you might be aware Tasty Bird shop has been closed for the last 2 months. Unfortunately it will stay that way for the foreseeable future, or until we find a suitable new location to kick-start our business yet again. What killed us was the combination of ever rising costs of our base products (the ones we need to make our lovely dishes from- and especially vegan meats substitute) and also, due to Brexit, failing supply chain.
That's a bit sh*te if I have to be honest, for the business that was growing year on year, just to stop trading overnight, a huge kick in the nuts it was.
But do not worry guys, even if we're not selling our meals directly to you, we will still focus on advocating for vegan, cruelty free dishes and we will still work closely with many suppliers just to make sure that the Vegans of Northern Ireland can get something really nice for themselves out of any shop/ bar/ restaurant they go to.
Thank you very much for reading this message and just to let you all know:
I freaking loved running TASTY BIRD. It's been a blast!
Kind regards,
Adam,
Tasty Bird Belfast
