Thanks to everyone who took the time to post messages, it's been genuinely humbling to read them. Turns out your health is indeed your wealth, who'da thunk it? Thanks too to everyone who put their shoulder to the wheel alongside myself and Dad (Walter, those of you with long memories). A lot of you have mentioned our pasties, and while we worked to a recipe drawn up by my father and grandfather, the places I think you might find closest to satisfying that longing would be the Seafry, Rosetta or the Jolly Fryer, Carryduff, both of whom I have had contact with in the past. In particular, I hope that's of benefit to the regulars who drove from Ballynahinch every Saturday for their fish & chips.
