Wonderful food and company at Bites of india botanic tonight with my lovely son Eoin x
He took me out for a belated Mothers Day and as we both love Indian food, this beautiful spot was a perfect choice.
I have been here on a few occasions, and Eoin and his pals have been here a few times too .
I have NEVER been dissapointed.
Firstly , the warm welcome is lovely. Never underestimate how welcoming it is to the customer to have a warm smile and friendly conversation. Bites of India deliver on that every time .
I love that it's family run , casual , and yet very smart and modern .
Not gonna lie, I love that they remember me, and that makes me feel like a valued customer (God, I'm a princess lol)
Anyway ...the food .
The poppadoms came first with a trio of dips ....crunchy onion relish (my fav) mango and ...tamarind (I think)
Eoin ordered a veggie starter ...the imp!! That meant I couldn't try it, however, our lovely server pointed that out which I thought was fantastic as he was well versed on what is vegan and what isn't.
For mains we both ordered dosa .
Eoin ordered the spicier one and I ordered the masala dosa . (Pictured)
The dosa was crispy perfection and the potato filling was mild and absolutely delicious . This also came with a trio of dips AND a pot of dhal !!! The various combinations of flavour, texture and spice makes for a dish of absolute PERFECTION , and I would get it again and again. It feels fresh, filling, yet light, and flavour full.
So after my last post, where I had lost a little faith in eating out , Bites of India have come to the rescue . HOOORAYYY
10 out of 10 guys ....and after I mentioned it to Sean Allen ,his first remark was let's go again, so no doubt we will be back soon
Price point ...well it was my sons treat , but it was around £31 ....and I brought him up well ...because he paid and tipped like a gentleman!
