Hello everyone!
Our head baker is ✨finally✨ taking a break, so unfortunately we will be shut this whole week in Beith and Friday and Saturday in Monkton.
We will be back open as normal on Monday 15th of June, we apologise for the inconvenience and can’t wait to see you in the shop🫶🏻

Hello everyone!
After an absolutely manic weekend (thank you again to everyone who popped in Saturday night) we are back!
Today we have mini poppy seed sourdough loaves, Basque cheesecake filled croissants, Pain au Brownie, twice baked pistachio pain au chocolates and so much more🫶🏻

Well, that’s us just back from the longest shift.

After a full day’s work and very little sleep, we were back in through the night baking our daily selection, alongside croissants for the Best Croissant in the UK semi-finals. Every croissant had to be the perfect weight, size and shape — all delivered to Manchester by 10am.

The level of viennoiserie on display was absolutely outstanding. It’s such an exciting time for small independent bakeries, and the quality across the board is just incredible.

We also got to meet some lovely people who, just like us, are truly passionate about what they do — and that made the experience even more special.

We’re absolutely delighted to say that we’ll now be heading to The Savoy in London on 16th October 2026 to take part in the finals of Best Croissant in the UK by Isigny Ste-Mère

Absolutely over the moon.

This Saturday, 30th May, we’re trying something a little different in Monkton… 🍕

We’ve been thinking about doing this for quite some time now, and it finally feels like the right time to give it a go.

We’ll be doing a small pizza night from 5pm till 7pm — just a relaxed trial run for our fellow villagers to see what you think.

Numbers will be limited while we test things out, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. We’d genuinely love your feedback if you come along — what works, what doesn’t, and whether it’s something you’d like to see more of locally.

Hopefully see a few familiar faces on Saturday 🍕

Absolutely buzzing to have won 2 Silver awards at the Scottish Bakers Awards yesterday 🥈🥈

Silver for our plain croissant and silver for our empire biscuit — two customer favourites!

So nice to spend the day surrounded by so much talent. Scotland’s baking scene is unbelievably strong just now and we’re really proud to be part of it.

Big thanks to for putting on such a great event.

And a huge massive congratulations to for being reigning champions for a third year running 👏 (bows in baker)

Biggest well done to the whole Buns and Crumbs team too. Everyone works so hard and I’m really proud of what we do together every day 🫶🫶🫶
