🌒✨ FROM ECLIPSE TO STARS – WEDNESDAY 12 AUGUST! ✨🌠

Something a little special is happening in the sky tomorrow evening… and we’re making a night of it across all three of our pubs! 🍻

Join us at The French Horn, Steppingley • The Bell, Odell • The Three Tuns, Biddenham as we watch the solar eclipse before keeping our eyes on the sky for shooting stars. 🌒💫

The eclipse begins at around 6:16pm, reaches its maximum at around 7:12pm – with over 90% of the Sun covered – and finishes around 8:05pm.

And because every celestial event deserves a drink… 😄

The pizza van will be with us from 6–8pm. Order your pizza at the van, then you’re more than welcome to bring it inside and enjoy it with us at The Bell.

🌘☀️ ECLIPSE AT THE BELL – TOMORROW NIGHT! ☀️🌘

Something pretty special is happening above Odell tomorrow evening… 👀

On Wednesday 12th August, a spectacular partial solar eclipse will see more than 90% of the Sun covered at its peak! 🌘

And with our garden finally back open, what better place to come and watch it together! 🌿🍻

🌒 Eclipse begins around 6:16pm
🌘 Maximum eclipse around 7:12pm
🌒 Finishes around 8:05pm

Come down, grab some food and a cold drink, find yourself a spot in the garden and enjoy a rather unusual Wednesday evening with us.

☀️ Of course, the great British weather gets the final say — but if the skies are kind, it should be quite a sight!

⚠️ Important: Never look directly at the Sun. Please only view the eclipse using proper certified eclipse glasses.

🎤 OUR OWN LOUISE… LIVE AT THE THREE TUNS! 🎤❤️

We’re very excited to announce that our very own Louise will be taking to the mic at The Three Tuns, Biddenham on Saturday 29th August from 7pm! 🎶🥂

Many of you already know Louise — but if you haven’t heard her sing yet, you’re in for a treat. From beautiful ballads to the songs that get everyone singing along and up on their feet, she’ll be bringing a fantastic night of live music to Biddenham.

And there’s something extra special about welcoming a familiar face to The Three Tuns for a brilliant night of live music. ❤️

☀️ OH… HERE WE GO AGAIN! 🔥🍺

Apparently summer 2026 isn’t finished with us just yet… 😎

After heatwaves in May, June AND July, the forecasters are now keeping an eye on another spell of very warm or hot weather heading our way from Sunday and into next week. ☀️🌡️

At this rate, we’re going to have to stop calling them heatwaves and just call it summer! 😂

And luckily, our three pubs are VERY well prepared for more pub-garden weather…

🌿 The Bell, Odell — after all the work that’s been going on, the garden is finally OPEN again! 🎉 A very welcome return just in time for another blast of summer.

☀️ The Three Tuns, Biddenham — a garden so popular that people seem determined to sit out there even when it snows… well, sort of. 😂❄️🍺 So a heatwave certainly won’t put anyone off!

🌺 The French Horn, Steppingley — our little oasis of flowers, plants and colour, looking absolutely beautiful at this time of year. The perfect spot to hide away with something cold in your hand. 🌸🌿🍹

So if the temperatures do climb again, we’ve got the essentials covered:

🎨🍷 Sip & Paint at The Bell in Odell 🍷🎨

Looking for a relaxed, fun evening with friends or family?

Join us on Thursday 6th August from 7pm to 9pm for our Sip & Paint evening. We’ll have Bob Ross on the screen to inspire you every step of the way, with all materials provided.

No experience? No problem! This isn’t about being a great artist, it’s about having a laugh, trying something new, and enjoying a drink in great company.

Everyone is welcome, and all abilities are encouraged to join in. Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or paint every weekend, you’ll fit right in.

☀️🍻 HELLO AUGUST — AND THANK YOU, JULY! 🍻☀️

As we head into the first week of August, I wanted to start with a simple but very genuine thank you.

Thank you to everyone who visited and supported The French Horn, The Three Tuns and The Bell throughout July. ❤️

It was another incredibly busy month across our three pubs, and as is often the case in hospitality, there was plenty happening behind the scenes too.

There were some fantastic days and moments we’re incredibly proud of, alongside a few challenging ones that tested us, taught us a few things and reminded us that running pubs is rarely boring! 😂

But through all of it, our teams kept turning up, looking after our customers and doing their very best — and I’m enormously grateful to them.

And then there’s all of you.

Every meal ordered, every pint enjoyed, every family gathering, Sunday roast, quick drink after work, event attended and recommendation to a friend makes a difference to an independent pub business like ours.

So genuinely, thank you for your custom and continued support. 🙏

And now… August! ☀️

The school holidays are well underway, Britain appears to have discovered a permanent HEATWAVE setting 🔥😂, the beer gardens are calling and there’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy.

Whatever August brings, we’re looking forward to another month of good food, cold drinks, great company and hopefully plenty more sunshine across:
