☕️ Apparently, running a café means getting VERY excited about coffee machines, clever equipment and all things hospitality… who knew?! 😂

We took ourselves out of the Hangar and headed to the Coffee Culture Exhibition at the Business Design Centre in London — all in the name of “research”, obviously. 👀☕️

We met some brilliant people, discovered some fantastic products, saw plenty of shiny new kit and came away with our heads full of ideas.

We’re always looking for ways to keep evolving the Hangar — whether that’s the products we use, the equipment behind the scenes or those little touches that help us give you the best experience we possibly can. ❤️

Safe to say… the cogs are turning! ⚙️☕️

Now the big question is… what did we find that might be making its way to the Hangar? 👀

A little reintroduction from us…

We’ve welcomed lots of new faces to our social pages over the last few months, so we thought it was about time we said hello properly!

We’re Anish & Sharita the owners of The Hangar Cafe & Bar, and as we get closer to marking a whole year since taking over what was formerly the Friendly Nettle Cafe and beginning our Hangar journey, we wanted to say a huge thank you. 💚

To our new followers — welcome! And to everyone who has been with us, visited us, recommended us, shared our posts, brought friends and family through the doors or simply stopped by for a coffee, a bite to eat or a drink — thank you for your continued support. It genuinely means so much to us.

Owning and running the Hangar has been a constant learning journey. We’re learning, adapting and discovering something new almost every week — and we’re always looking for ways to make what we offer even better.

This photo was taken at a recent coffee culture exhibition, where we spent the day discovering what’s new in the industry, meeting suppliers and exploring upcoming trends and ideas. ☕️

For us, that’s all part of the journey. We want to keep learning and evolving so that we can bring our community the very best of cafe, coffee and bar culture — while continuing to make the Hangar a place you genuinely enjoy spending time in.

There’s plenty more we want to do, and we’re excited to have you along for the ride.
