GOOD B**R GUIDE

Now that the embargo has passed, I am most proud to announce that, out of the 45,000 pubs left in Great Britain, The Crown at Willington has made it into the 54th Edition of "The Good B**r Guide", a guide to 4,500 of the finest outlets for cask b**r! Each entry is chosen through a rigorous selection process that highlights the very best standards around the UK. It reflects the high standards of the pub, staff and, of course, the consistent quality of our cask ale.

Thank you, most sincerely, to everyone who has supported us and made this possible, especially our cask ale drinkers, including North Bedfordshire Campaign For Real Ale (North Beds Camra)

With warmest wishes

Vince, Nathalie and the team.

VACANCY FOR A CASUAL WORKER: Part-Time General Kitchen Assistant (Sundays, plus)

We have a vacancy for someone to join our small team as a general kitchen assistant/kitchen porter. The duties and responsibilities are primarily washing up, general cleaning, and some vegetable, etc. preparation, but with the potential for the right person to develop their skills into, for example, side dish assembly, presentation of desserts, re-heating, etc.

The hours required vary, in terms of monthly Theme Nights and, potentially, busy Friday or Saturday evenings, or both, but there is a regular requirement for 3 to 5 hours on Sunday lunchtimes and afternoons. A genuine interest in the role is more important than experience.

To apply, please send a copy of your CV, together with a note setting out your motivation for applying, via email to: [email protected] or by hard copy to the pub at: The Crown, 17 Station Road, Bedford, MK44 3QH.
