Job Title: Weekday Front of House Team Member - Weekdays

Location: Perfect Aquatics, Hitchin Road, Henlow, SG16 6BB

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our weekday team. The role will involve working across the Koi Café and Bermuda Falls Adventure Golf, helping us provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

Main responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service

• Taking food and drink orders accurately

• Serving food and drinks

• Processing cash and card payments using the till

• Checking in adventure golf customers and issuing golf equipment

• Answering questions about the activities and facilities available on site

• Keeping customer areas, tables and service counters clean and tidy

• Clearing tables and washing up when required

• Restocking drinks, packaging and other supplies

• Supporting the wider team during busy periods

• Following all food hygiene, health and safety and company procedures

• Helping with opening and closing duties

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is available to work during the daytime on weekdays

• Is friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers

• Provides excellent customer service

• Is reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a small team

• Can remain calm and organised during busy periods

• Is willing to help with a variety of tasks

• Has good attention to detail

• Can work independently when required

Previous customer service or hospitality experience would be helpful, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.

This is a varied, customer focused weekday role within a leisure and hospitality site. It would suit someone who enjoys meeting people, working as part of a close team and helping customers have a great experience.

We’d like to wish everyone a fun and exciting summer holiday!

As the summer holidays are now here, we naturally find ourselves much busier than usual. To help reduce food waiting times and support our back-of-house team, from today we will also be using our weekend menu structure during the week.

This means that every day we will serve breakfast items until 12pm. After 12pm, breakfast service will finish and we will continue serving food from the rest of our menu.

There are no changes to the food dishes themselves. The only change is the times of day during which breakfast and the rest of our menu are served.

As our kitchen is small, this really helps us manage the increased workload in a way that benefits both our customers and our team.

We understand that some regular customers who visit us later in the day for breakfast, or earlier for lunch items, may be disappointed. However, once the summer holidays are over, we will return to serving our full menu from 9am until 4pm during the week.

Koi Café is looking for a reliable and experienced Part Time Chef to join our team.

We are a busy café based at Perfect Aquatics in Henlow, serving a varied menu of breakfasts, wraps, baguettes, paninis, salads, light lunches, desserts and drinks.

You will need to be confident working in a small but busy kitchen, able to manage your own workload and take pride in producing good quality food consistently.

Main Duties

• Preparing, cooking and presenting breakfast and lunch dishes
• Completing daily food preparation
• Managing orders during busy service periods
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service
• Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures
• Monitoring stock levels, rotating stock and reporting items that need ordering
• Reducing waste and ensuring food is stored correctly
• Completing washing up, cleaning down and end of day checks
• Working closely with front of house staff to keep service running smoothly
• Opening or closing the kitchen when required

What We Are Looking For

• Previous chef, cook or kitchen experience is essential
• Confident preparing a range of breakfast and lunch dishes
• Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure
• Good understanding of food hygiene, allergens and kitchen safety
• Reliable, punctual and organised
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred
