Hullo everyone.
Trinity of Battle has now permanently closed I’m sorry to say.
After 18 years and 3 fabulous restaurants I’m hanging my ‘owners’ cap’ up .
Trinity is not the first and sadly definitely won’t be the last to close in the depressing demise of hospitality and retail led businesses which simply cannot weather the economic maelstrom that we have endured since Covid … and there’s no let up in sight.
It doesn’t really matter any more how busy the restaurant is …. The overheads and running costs are hideously disproportionate and vastly outweigh the income.
One economic crises after another , along with continually rising supplier & utility bills, wage rises and ever decreasing numbers in footfall have worn me down. Plus my own long term health issues cannot sustain the brutality of the business any longer.
Life & the trading patterns for small businesses has changed dramatically in the past 3 years and it’s just not sustainable.
I’ve never been afraid of hard work but the stress and anxiety has been on another level.
I have absolutely LOVED working along side this latest version of Team Trinity … and I’ve been so blessed with everyone who has been involved in making the restaurant a truly inspirational and beautiful business … I wish my wonderful team all the very best that life can offer and I’m so proud of them all. Like, REALLY proud of them.
This last year in particular has given me the best experience ever … so talented, kind and fun to work with as they were and I’ve been truly lucky to have had their love, care and support.
But the day of reckoning has come and I’m exhausted.
To all of you who have loved, supported and promoted Trinity so brilliantly … I thank you with all my heart. I could NOT have done it without you.
It’s a sad day, but onwards and upwards and I wish the Battle traders and the town as a whole all the very best and hope the help that small businesses desperately need ,in order to survive, is on its way.
See you around & bless you all .
It’s been a blast.
Ellie. 😘
