Calling all the cosy vibes this Bank holiday weekend and we’re open for all of it!

To be honest, I think we’ve all been craving a roast dinner and a glass of red, it’s long overdue not just because we don’t love summer but because the farms could all do with a little sprinkling. And nothing beats sitting by the fire on a rainy weekend day. We’re open all weekend, including Monday for drinks.

Our Red of the Month, and this one’s perfect for the summer months that we’re still holding onto.🍷

A 2022 vintage from the south of Chile and a cooler climate, with red cherry popping through. It’s aged for 12 months in oak, giving it those delicious to***co and chocolate notes. Perfect served slightly chilled to bring out the best of those delicious flavours, and outstanding paired with pork, hence our French-cut pork loin being the perfect match. See you Sunday!

Burgers are a firm favourite here, and we’re very proud to be able to source the beef from our very own farm, guaranteeing absolute provenance and, more importantly in our eyes, flavour which delivers every time.

Pasture-fed beef, straight from the farm to your plate, it doesn’t get much better than that. Maybe a little smoked bacon, cheddar, a side of chunky chips and a pint to top it off!

We’re jumping on the Kentish wine hype and supporting our neighbouring county and the outstanding wine producers there.

Paul is a huge fan of many of the Kentish vineyards and what they’re producing, hence why you’ll find plenty at the bar.

We’re currently pouring some of our absolute favourites, corkers from Four Daughters in their Albariño and Riesling, stand out Nine Oaks Chardonnay and Pinot Rosé and of course the sparkly goodness with Gusbourne Brut and Squerryes Brut and Rosé. It’s so important that we’re supporting our locals growers and producers and now more than ever! Here’s to them and cheers to them. Some seriously good wine!

We’re holding onto summer for as long as we possibly can, because we can!

And what that looks like here you ask? Long lunches, dinner on the terrace, something delicious on the table and a cold glass of rose in hand, we’ve got some crackers to choose from!

There’s still plenty of summer left to savour and even if it does feel a bit chilly, we have our undercover space so they’ll be no rush to get back.

A traditional Fish & Chip Friday post, because there’s a lot of talk about hot weather and al fresco dining, but sometimes all you need to know is that your local serves a really great fish dinner.

Harvey’s Best beer-battered fish with hand-cut chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Simple, proper and very, very tasty.

A good glass of vino, a spritz and a feast, great company and some pretty spectacular views. We’re all about the social side of good food and that equals bringing people together, sharing plates, pouring another great glass of wine and making the most of this weather on the terrace and our pagoda even if there is a little down pour now and then!

Another great dish on the summer menu. Taking a little Korean inspiration this time, our crispy korean beef packs a punch. Beef served with a gochujang glaze and a complementary sweet and sour ponzu salad, topped with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. This one’s a favourite!

We’re very excited to be hosting an intimate evening celebrating Patience, an exceptional release from our good friends at Squerryes since 1731 Estate on Thursday 10th September!

This is a very intimate evening, with only 16 spaces available, but we know you’re going to love it.
This inaugural 2014 vintage spent an extraordinary 108 months – nine years – ageing on the lees, with only (would you believe!) 3,000 bottles produced. Now that’s special. It’s also the most expensive bottle of English Sparkling wine!

Named after Patience Warde, an important merchant ancestor of the Warde family behind the Kent estate, this is a truly unique wine with an equally special story.

We’ve worked closely with the team to design an evening and a selection of dishes that beautifully complement the wine.

There is only one downside... there are just 16 spots available, which makes this the perfect opportunity to enjoy some delicious food and talk all things wine.
Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis, so booking early is important! Hurry to save disappointment.

Message us or the Squerryes since 1731 team for more info!
