Hi everyone, just to say the cottage has passed onto illume now the food is amazing all freshly made if you’ve not been please give it a go it’s easily forgotten at back of the lane but please at least go once give it a try I guarantee you’d go back staff so pleasant dishes can be altered as freshly made. Hi guys, a big thank you for all the gifts cards flowers meant so much. I will be keeping this page (as new owners be changing name and have their own page) so I can keep in touch easily. Ooft ive no clue what to say or what to feel mostly sadness right now but looking forward to some chill time too. Tomorrow is my last day at cottage I will miss it and the people sooo much 😢 to all my friends, family, customers (who are mostly like family after 15 years) I say thank you so much for the love support custom kindness patience I’ve been given luv yi’s 😘

Callum Furness! Well my absolute hero! Without him I’d not have had a holiday or day off or long lie or lift to work after one too many! So simply cottage wouldn’t have existed. cannot express what an angel this man has been over the years I luv yi and thank you. words simply cannot express the support. There when husband left after 6 months, there when I said it was over, right by my side. There when my mum died I will always be there for you anything you need you abso legend of a person! 😘 I will always be in your debt ###

Hey team cottage, well it is with sadness I say I will be moving on from the cottage over the next week or so. No idea where I’m headed but looking forward to some time to think on that. Someone has bought the business from me and after being there from the age of 27 I feel I have to take the opportunity to move on. I will obviously miss it and the people soooo much I can’t even put it into words 😢 I will be having a wee drink at 4pm on Saturday at the end of my shift if anyone would like to pop by more than welcome. I will need names by PM tho as obviously it’s not the biggest of spaces. I will really miss you all and wish everyone I’ve met over the years the best.
Please support the new owners as you have done me and thank you all for that. Luv ya’s and take care 😢❤️😘

Hi folks, we haven’t done a Christmas menu as such this year as few bookings already for birthdays and wasn’t sure how Christmas nights would go in current situation. However if you’d like an evening with us please let me know menu’s can be discussed and tailored to suit your needs thanks Helen ❤️

Hi everyone, we are still looking for a part time staff member. Experience essential. It would only be 1 or 2 days a week. Generally 10am-3pm (depending on how busy restaurant is this may change by half hour or so) sat work would be required not every Saturday tho. But the crucial thing is when myself or my chef take a week holiday etc extra cover would be needed.
This position ideal for someone who already does evening work only or has kids at school. If interested ideally pop in and see me I’ll be there every day for rest of the week or pm me on cottage page. Thanks for taking the time to read Helen x

Hi everyone, really gutted about this but unfortunately due to staff resourcing we’ve had to close for the upcoming week. We will be back as normal on 21st June. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. First time in 14 years this has happened I tried my very best to get staff at short notice but sadly couldn’t see you all soon and massive apologies again H x
